Had a game start out 5v6 and then 3 people quit leaving it 2v6, I was on the side of the 2. I still did the best in the game and tried everything I could to win but unfortunately when you're that outnumbered and with limited spawning locations there is only so much you can do. Also one of the people who ended up joining right as the game ended got a legendary, which btw I'm perfectly fine with that system since I know how much it sucks to be put into a game that there is no chance of winning. RNGesus was not smiling at me that game. He wasn't even in my general vicinity.

Also to all these people who are saying they should have given the losing team rep... NO. This is a tournament! The whole point for it is to prove you're the best and to win. You shouldn't get handed stuff for nothing, everyone complains about people getting engrams and exotics when they have low scores/get carried and this is no different. Does that leave room for quitters? Yes. If they quit out because they are losing do you want them on your team? No. Why? Because someone who isn't willing to give it everything to pull a victory out their butt isn't someone who you want on your team.
I get it, everyone isn't a try-hard or necessarily the best, but if you lost that's it. This event isn't about everyone and people seem to be forgetting that. This is event is all about the victory, doesn't matter if you were the best on your team or the worst winning is everything in this tournament. I'm not the best player, my friend is far better than I am, just look at my K/D, but I win. Why? Because I work for it. When I don't win I just get motivated to win the next one because I want to get to rank 3. That is the attitude for this event.
TL;DR all the extra crap:
Play like you're going to win every game.
