Finish the game, then maybe you'll understand. When you have finally completed the story, try and explain to me what the hell you are, how you got there, what the traveler is (beyond the basic common understanding), why the traveler chose earth, how long you were dead, etc. Also explain to me when you learned about each planet and why the worlds were taken over and why the races are battling against eachother and earth. Explain why the final story mission was so god damn piss easy and why you had to fight essentially 3 gatelords, a boss you ready fought. I could go on and on, but the point here is the story was done half ass, along with many other things.

Hmm.. After competing the game I can tell you nothing other than I killed a lot of enemies that all were placed in their specific planets. I used my ghost a lot to open doors. Who am I in the game? Not sure. What's the deal with the traveller? Not sure. What's the deal with the speaker? Not sure, except he talks to you twice. I think. I can't really remember.

!!!!! Can I at least fight the blob in the middle!?!? Hey listen I agree, pretty much the most anti climatic ending to a game. It's a shame too because about midway through, with the queen and her brother and the gate lord, I'm thinking like "story is pretty good." And the second after it went to crap. I get people's frustration. Personal opinions and all of course, I don't think the "game" as a whole is terrible, the mechanics are smooth, the gunplay is fun. But also remember if they plan on going with this game for 10 years, maybe that's how they had to do it. Leave everything aloof. Which mind you isn't fair ESPECIALLY if they make us pay for DLC to complete a broken story BUT if they patch them in here and there, to me that's exciting. Like hmmm new story mission, this is why u were a pile of bones and what a traveler is, stuff like that. It has it's flaws but I don't think it's AS BAD as people are saying. Just my boring humble opinion of course. ;)

So much misunderstanding and misinformation.. THE GAME ISN'T TO LAST TEN YEARS, THE FRANCHISE IS. They are making FOUR full titles, plus dlc for each. That's a $240 minimum without the dlc. Go read the contact.

Easy tiger! Why so mad?? I believe you. Whatever the case, hopefully they learn from this one and continue to patch it, and in the next IP make it better and make the game stand on its own two feet to be rivaled with one of the strongest titles to hit the gaming world(Halo)

I hear you, but even if that is the case then Bungie did a piss poor job at executing that. Quotes from the game: "I COULD tell you of all the battles fought..." "I dont even have the time to explain why I don't have the time to explain" That my friend is called sh!tty writing and presentation, no ifs ands or buts about it. That is NOT the way to go about parlaying the divulging of the plot. And making us go to the website to read about exposition that they couldn't even take the time to include in the game is blatant baiting. Its such a shame too...this game had all the potential to be a great one, but they wanted to make a profit instead. Should've known really....no company risks that much money with main intentions to make a great work of art. Any new IP with half a billy invested in it is gonna jump hurdles to implement ways of securing most of their invested funds.

Agreed man. Pretty much cut and dry. Why oh WHY are the Grimoire Cards not in the game!?!? Thee absolute dumbest thing. And I enjoy the game, the story though is how do you say, very....unmemorable??

SMH... just imagine if they took the time to implement the grimoire cards the same way ME had the data logs, with a voiceover reading them? Damn.....playing Destiny reeeeeally makes me want to play ME. I'd spend hours just learning about the universe through the codex entries, even the ones with no VO

The CODEX!!! I remember playing Mass Effect before it "caught on" thinking that exact thing. I used to tell all my friends like yo, you gotta try this game Mass Effect, it's like space stuff and they would all clown me. Sure enough, couple years later they're balls deep in ME3 haha Like this is a Universe I actually WANT to learn about too cause it can be so vast. This whole log on and try to find the card, you might think you might like to read and not in any order thing?? Pretty wack sauce. It's a great idea just wish they implemented it better as you said.

LOL . . .hey man if it keeps you around for a little longer to see how the game turns out, so be it. PVP for me right now, needs balancing BUT that will happen and it does give me a nice needed break from the grind!! I'll leave you with this though,"18-5-10, first place and no loot?!? Wait what!?! That guy went 3-18 and got the Hawkmoon!?!? :? :/

the loot system is still awful in pvp just as much as it is anywhere else which is only annoying since its a loot based game, but shit, halo didnt even have loot and i played that multiplayer for years

That ALSO was a bit ambitious haha We'd like to hope it has a long life like a WOW or an EVE but ehh ermm *cough cough* we'll see. Sad to think that :( some of my tops are on last gen too

I like the majority have moaned about being bored in Destiny, but I just thought I'd go patrol earth decided to go on foot no sparrow and I never realised how nice it looks, I think I just mite give this game more time, really take the scenery in.

Man!!! That's it for me. I try to just zone in and think,"look at this world they have created, and imagine what it COULD potentially become." It's the future of things that could happen that keeps me playing.

The scenery is gorgeous, that's why I was really disappointed when I was left why such a dry story. I want to feel immersed in the world. I want to understand at least the basic questions that any person would have if they were revived into a mysterious and changed world with aliens and terraformed planets. There are a lot of questions that need to be made clear. Three things they need to work on/add are a chat system, better storyline, and better loot system.

That's it...the game is solid. The worlds are stunning. Just there are some glaring issues, especially baring it's genre/title. When I think MMOFPS I think, strikes, raids, matchmaking, loot, gunplay. Plain and simple. Not in that order even LOL 3 of which are lacking and one of which is barely holding it together.
