I'm an atheist by default. I see every religion trying to do the same thing control be by using fear tactics. Also they say the bible was written by man who heard gods voice so ur going to follow a schizophrenic. That makes perfect sense. But here's the thing everyone has their own beliefs and that's what makes us who and what we are. What I can't stand is people bashing one another over the topic. Live and let live ya know. I even have family members that won't talk to me anymore cause I'm a blasphemous sinner who is going to hell. But meh who cares at least I'm happy. Sorry that is all I'm at work and bored it's slow

Every sin is a sin. We are all guilty. Just don't stereotype Christians or Catholics or whoever just because one was being ridiculous. People claim to be all sorts of things. At least look into things on your own, not based on how other people act. Because some people claim falsely.

I want to thank everyone who has been apart of this conversation. To the op I'm glad you have the courage to tell people what you believe. I know that a lot of people hate on Christianity and the Bible. I haven't taken anything personally, even if it was meant to offend. I appreciate everyone taking time to leave there comments and opinions. My intentions for being apart of this thread has been to share love and truth. I may not reply to anymore comments at this point because I'm really busy. I want everyone to know that I respect and care for all of you and hope that you find true joy in your own lives.

Being a Christian isn't about forcing religion on people. It's about coming to the realization that we are finite and imperfect. When we come to understand this, we realize there is something bigger. The existence of existence is proof that some intelligence made it. "That's a law of science btw." The law of information science states "that for there to be information there has to be an intelligent design." Such as a book or a code. What is DNA known as? Code. So for there to be an orderly placement of information in our bodies indicates that there had to be an intelligent design behind it. On the subject of Christ, it is an undeniable fact that he existed. Historians agree that he was a teacher in Israel. I know with every fiber of my being that he is God in the flesh. I know that he lived here for 33 years and died on a cross at mt Calvary to save me. I know after 3 days in a tomb he was resurrected, and returned to Heaven. Not before he gave his disciples a great commission. He said, "go out, and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, even to the ends of the earth." That's what being a Christian is about. Sharing the truth, with love, and having a connected relationship with Jesus Christ. Tell me what you believe, if you a agree or disagree. I'd love to know. If you have any questions, or want to know more, feel free to ask. I'll be checking back daily to answer comments. I know 100% for a fact where I'll be when I die. I will be in Heaven with God forever in perfection. Where will you be?

lol, even though there's no evidence whatsoever for the resurrection, and the Jesus myth, is just that, a myth, stories of a man who came if a virgin birth, and then was redirected has been around long before Jesus lived

I have friends that are devout Christians and catholics. I even dated a preachers daughter for 3 years. Even went to church with them occasionally. Im not against religious people or religion. Just the bigoted people that try to tell me I'm a sinner or my friends are going to hell cause of their life choices. I know they proved christ was a real living breathing man. But no one can prove anything else. We all can argue until the last stone breaks down to powder and drifts in the solar emptiness. Living is about being happy and feeling good. Doing good things for others because you want to. Doesn't mean god tells me to and I listen cause I'm an ass at times as well. (Sorry had to throw that in there just in case someone said it's gods voice)

Why is he a tyrant? What did he do that is so evil? From my understanding everything God has done is loving and just. Those are his two defining attributes. To be a loving he must be just. I want to here your opinion on why he's a tyrant but think about this first. Think of God as a judge in a court room. Would it be loving for him to release a man that has been convicted of murdering your closest friend or family member? Certainly not. You would be furious. It is justice for a person to be put away when they do wrong. Because God is an infinite being the must be an infinite punishment for a crime against him. That is why hell is so intense. On the flip side of that, God is love because he sent Jesus to pay for sins and give us an escape from hell. If a man walked into a court room when you are on trial for murder and said I'll pay your fine. What would you for that man? Would you spend you're life trying to repay him, or would you spit in his face?

Have you ever thought about that? Infinite burning damnation? No redemption, no chance of escape. Just the worst pain you can imagine for eternity. Have you thought about eternity? Not trillions of years... No. We're talking never ending pain, the worst you can imagine. Why would you wish that upon any being is the true question here. If you do, I feel very sorry for you. But beside that. No being, no matter what deserves that kind of power, if God is all there is, then it will be a sad, sad universe.

I totally agree with you. That would be awful to have no escape. I have awesome news for you. There is an escape. The Bible says that if you repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ you will be save from hell and spend an eternity in heaven, filled with joy and perfection.

Or to teach good people that making choices not concerning Christianity lies hell to and beyond? Some people will be born in to this world oblivious to your religion, yet it's righteous for them to burn for eternity? Drop the concept, it was built to apease tyrants, to control, nothing more. What are the guidelines to not going to hell? Perhaps you could give me a guide? Because I'd hate to be condemned to everlasting torture for cursing the name of the high and mighty lord in vain 25 times(!).

Well that's easy man. The Bible is a clear road map, and even more specifically the Ten Commandments. Like I said the crime you commit has to have an equal punishment. God is infinite therefor the only fitting punishment must also be infinite. We can't follow the rules because of our nature, that is why Christ died. He did it to save us from eternal separation. As for people who haven't read the Bible. It says very clearly in the Bible that all bare witness to the truth that has been put on there conscience. That means even if you don't have the Bible it is still your job to seek the only thing that can fill your life's void. That my friend is Jesus Christ.

So a kid who is raised in a non Christian home and dies before reaching maturity is going to be punished for not accepting Jesus? Even though he never had a chance to learn anything about Jesus?
