Because I'm muslim

Because I feel like something started off this whole shebang and it's a great way to talk to yourself without feeling 100% crazy. My definition of God is about as loose as they come though (i.e. higher power, sentient or not, finite or infinite, etc.) so not a ton I can say on faith.

1 RespuestaAtheism is just as absolute as theism. Saying your definitely, for sure, without a doubt, convinced you know there is no greater force out there. Nobody knows if there is, or isn't. Atheism is a trend right now.

34 RespuestasI'm an atheist by default. I see every religion trying to do the same thing control be by using fear tactics. Also they say the bible was written by man who heard gods voice so ur going to follow a schizophrenic. That makes perfect sense. But here's the thing everyone has their own beliefs and that's what makes us who and what we are. What I can't stand is people bashing one another over the topic. Live and let live ya know. I even have family members that won't talk to me anymore cause I'm a blasphemous sinner who is going to hell. But meh who cares at least I'm happy. Sorry that is all I'm at work and bored it's slow

I have been sent by the intrigued conscience of myself. I am here to answer your fine riddle. You must listen real close. Once upon a time, in a land right next to your brain, there was knowledge. Your brain was, sadly, too small for it to enter, so it went elsewhere. The end.

6 RespuestasI am an atheist but sometimes I "pray" to my own god whom I call "bro" and "man" even though I don't normally speak like that. Yes I said whom. I have an atheist mother who tells me off for blaspheming even when there are no religious people around.

38 RespuestasI pose you a philosophical question. How is faith in religion different from faith in science? Many will say well.. in science we have facts... but do we really? The most recent theories are currently based on the Higgs Boson, or "God particle" which up until very very recently, was purely theoretical, could not be detected, could not be seen, could not be touched. But is still considered the most necessary particle ever devised. But... you may say... "It's been detected..."... Has it... really? Because a scientist... a person... tells you that it exists? How is this any different than someone saying "God speaks to me..."? Taking into account that ALL of the "laws of nature" break down and are null and void under specific circumstances... how "true" can science really be if it does not apply to everything in the same way all the time? Just some food for thought...

Because I have this naive hope that life is not just a biological -blam!- up, and that there is done meaning to life. Because I want there to be something after death, some reason to live more than the biological reason of reproduction. When I die, I want to go with the comfort that there is something afterwards, and that I'll not be 6 feet under, lights out. I have hope, however unrealistic it may be. Sure it's unlikely, but it's worth it.

9 RespuestasAs a human being our wisdom is subjective to that of what humans can attain. We are not omniscient and we don't know if there is or isn't a god. At this point, the best we can say is a statement in shrodengers* theory, that it Is possible that there is a god and religion is right, and that it is possible that there isn't a god and religion is wrong. At this pot The only solution we have is to demonstrate a hypothesis that uses the principle of Occam's razor, that is that the hypothesis with the least amount of assumptions should be selected.

1 RespuestaSuch argument.. It's up to every human what they want to identify themselves, as long they don't squash it in my face, be it atheist, satanist, or christian.
I'm atheist by the way.
That was a compelling arguement. I am pretty sure you have the religious questiong their beliefs now.
