They said the same thing with Dark Souls 2 and everyone flipped out, yet it ended up being even harder than Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but for the wrong reasons. As soon as there was an Achievement/Trophy for your first death I already new that they lost the plot.
People need to realize that the Souls games aren't good because of their difficulty. It's part of their appeal, but not why they're good. Besides he already said that he's aiming for the difficulty that Demon's Souls presented. No biggie.

Yea agree with you there. Playing Dark Souls 2 has 3 annoyances that add to its difficulty. 1. The loose as -blam!- lock on system this time that with auto move on its own to enemies I didn't even lock onto. 2. The non-consistent hitboxes that really -blam!- you over. 3. The bum rush/mob overwhelm. Dark Souls 2 had so many moments where the only times it would outright murder you is by bum rushing you with mobs,

Yup. It's still a good game, much better than most AAA releases in fact, but it lacks the careful design and attention to detail that were present in DeS and DaS.

One thing that really has me hyped is that Miyazaki said he wants Bloodborne to capture the atmosphere of the Tower of Latria. Oh man the chills.

Yes, its a good game but as a meaningful piece of work to be compared to DeS and DaS? Its quite a disappointment
