Ah, well, I believe the ps+service has been around for roughly 4.5 years. And I'm actually glad they implemented it. If they hadn't, Microsoft may not have added free games to the xbl service to keep on par with their competition.

PS+ Started doing the 2 free game in In June 2011. That was in response to the service going down April 20th of that year till June. Xbox gold member rewards started January 2012.

Editado por Evil_Alliances: 8/11/2014 6:20:18 PMNo, the free games to keep permanently were: little big planet, dead nation and infamous. That was in response to the psn incident. The "instant game collection" began with the Ps+ introduction in 2010. As a person who uses, and was a part of the psn hacking incident, I remember well. Just trying to set things straight. In addition to the free games, those affected by the hacking were also offered 30 days of ps+ for free and up to $1,000,000 in insurance provided that said persons identity had been compromised. During the time this all happened, users on Microsoft's console or services were also hacked, though, not as widely publicized. Google searches will support this, just try not to assume too much if you weren't personally a part of such incidents or services. ^_^ Edit: fact being, no one is immune from hacking incidents, not even the xbl service. The only difference is whether or not the company is capable of keeping the situation quiet, or if it becomes public, how they deal with it. And they handled it admirably and stated that no ones cc info was compromised and the cc info that was leaked was roughly a decade or so old. At least that's what the cyber forensics team said as they scoured the servers. That investigation ordered was why the psn and Sony's pc counterpart SOE was down for so long. (Basically, their pc counterpart was to blame for the majority of the issues)

Editado por AnyOLName: 8/11/2014 6:15:17 PMThe "Hack" you are talking about for the Microsoft network was actually a phishing scam where people were directed to give their MS info so they could get Free MS points. MS network has never been hacked like Sony has. Being dumb doesn't count as a hack...

Xbl isn't infallable. Both offer excellent services, don't get me wrong, I just like to stay informed. Edit: you are correct though, the extent to which Microsoft has been hacked in the past has not publically reached the height of Sony's own fiasco.

I'm not trying to say you, or your friends, are incorrect. I googled like you said, and all I could find was that phishing scam...nothing else. Best of luck, have fun in Destiny...

Editado por yetz0r: 8/12/2014 4:36:26 AMI live near Seattle and work at an architecture and engineering firm with people who have spouses that work at Microsoft, they have been hacked multiple times, and one current employee even admitted to it happening and Microsoft denying it. That's is just facts coming straight from an employee.... Just saying.
