I think some people do it for the sake of having more options when the time comes. It doesnt really matter either way though, since you can guarantee out of every 100, 50 will leave and 50 more will come.

its not a bold guarantee. Its just how the community around in pre-release to shortly after release. Its been like that in games for as long as i can remember. People will join because they want to, then either decide they dont actually want to play the game, or theyve found a different clan they want, or their friends are in a different clan, and the people in the clan will switch and bounce around. Oh, my bad, i realise i didnt word my comment properly. I meant the options, didnt matter one way or another to the clans that have quantity not quality. To the more organised clans, then yeah. You wont have as many people bouncing around.
