What armor/weapon would you start the game with? They wouldn't give you the default if you retained your level. Imagine going through the intro with your super, and garbage equipment.

Yeah, they aren't going to save the beta characters or items. They've been changing their minds to that side more and more lately and want everybody to have a fresh fair start. A beta is not for you to get your little head start, it's for the creators to test out the game and weed out bugs.

I can't believe so many people are so damn butt hurt about not keeping their shit. You are right, Bungie has stated MANY times that all the events are to stress test. Everyone getting the beta? Stress Test. Every one getting on at 2pm on the 26th? STRESS TEST. If you're mad about not getting to keep your weapons then go play another game and stop bitching and funking up our game time.

They made the beta free for all to stress test the beta with many people. They literally stated that.

They stated that if anybody had found bugs and exploited it, that they wouldn't. And that's exactly what hundreds of people did on each platform. How long do you think the game will last if every 1 in 5 players starts at the glimmer cap with a few legendary/exotic weapons? A lo shorter than if we all started off equally.

thats not the reason that its not going to happen. its not going to happen because people have been grinding and farming non-stop for the past week getting all these legendary's and hitting the glimmer cap, at the end of the day it will hurt the games lifespan if half the players start on launch with 25k glimmer and all the legendary's they need and want. either way though, they said that they would consider a beta transfer as long as no major exploits were found and used, a good few exploits were found and used heavily. so no, you're characters getting wiped bud.

Actually, the people farming rares and legendary's go up to level 10/20, and I doubt the level cap is going to be level 20.

It would be stupid to transfer because people would play the game for less time since they are already 8's. They aren't going to transfer. In the 10+ betas I have ever played, they have never transferred character data.

Idgaf about your experience Lol. I just want my guns, armor and grimoire transferred. Also whether a beta is made for a head start or not is irrelevant. If there isn't anything inherently wrong with transferring the data. Then it should be done.
