The maps are massive. With the new engine Bungie is running you can load and travel 3km^2 at once before needing any type of buffer or loading for a new "zone". That's almost the size of the GTA V map.
From what's been said the actual areas are really huge.

How is that exactly with the size of this game in terms of gb and blue ray discs? I'm asking honestly because: 1. I'm not knowledgable about disc and storage capacity. Especially for a game like this? 2. Will each planet be like the size of gta map? How would that translate to gb storage?

Editado por A IR C T I C 7: 11/20/2013 6:11:09 AMThere will probably be a sizable download of around 8-10gb for this game. Atleast on the 360 and ps3

There are multiple maps on each planet you must remember. So yeah. Destiny's pretty big.
-
Good, so the 360 can generate with Bungie's new engine then

I must have missed that. I thought it was 3km/sq render distance. Have a link where they talked about it? I probably just read it wrong, but can't find it at all now.
-
If the engine can render (load) a distance of 3km^2 at once then that means you can travel that distance.
-
I get that, but i'm saying i thought it was a continuous render, as in, 3km/sq from your position and constantly moving with you (were you out in the open to see it).
-
No. I doubt that highly. The processing power that would be required would be ridiculous.
-
It would, but with most of the game being run on the servers, and as powerful as the next gen systems are, i think it's plausible. We shall have to wait and see what actually happens though.
