It's going to be the first Destiny, then Comet DLC every other year, and I believe another installment at the end of the franchise (anybody wanna factcheck for me?)

The original Bungie/Acti contract says that (kinda) but it also had Destiny slated for a late 2013 release so some details of that could be off (hence my timeline above straying from the contract a bit).
-
Yeah, the release date sets the schedule for the Comets. Like I speculated to OP, I wonder if there will be smaller patch updates between Comets for events and stuff? Every other year for DLC may not be a huge amount of time but I'm sure they can slip us a few things during the downtime
-
So, basically, it's: Game---->DLC---->DLC---->DLC---->Sequel?
-
I thought that it was game, dlc, game, dlc, for four games. My question is, how would they expand it? Destiny takes place on three planets and a moon. Would the games and dlc expand to include other planets, would they increase the depth of the current areas, or would they expand into other systems? That last one would be awesome, if for nothing else than it would be incredible to expand. If you can get an entire game that's supposed to involve you for years from just our solar system, how much gameplay can you get with an entire galaxy?
-
There are actually 6 planets and some moons.
-
I thought that the game was just on earth, Venus, mars and the moon. My mistake.
-
Are you familiar with MMO expansion packs? It doesn't mean literal expansion (usually), it's figurative expansion on the content of the original product.
-
No. 3 DLC total. Like: Game--DLC--Game--DLC--Game--DLC--Game
-
I believe so. It's my speculation that there will probably be smaller patches and what not inbetween comets for events and what not and the like, but again that is only my speculation. No real word on the periods between DLCs yet, I think.
-
What's "comet" DLC?
-
I think it's just the dubbing of the DLC projects
-
Your correct, cant recall a source though
-
There's gotta be one floating around somewhere, but at this point it's just common knowledge
-
Man, I don't know why I haven't heard it yet. Watched E3, interviews, gameplay analysis, trailers...What the hell?
-
Here you go. It's definitely out of date now, but these were their original plans.

Editado por Ad Hoc: 6/14/2013 3:00:50 AMWell, that doesn't line up with what people have told me in this thread. That document says they plan on 4 games, and intermittent DLC. EDIT: Oh, some people mentioned the 4 games while I was gone.

In your favor I would look for a source, but I believe it's buried somewhere in this site and just generally don't want to be bothered to do some interwebz archaeology. Bust rest assured, this is the plan :)
