In one of IGN's Destiny videos(Seen Here) the narrator says that Destiny is planned to last 10 years. What exactly does that refer to? One game, or the franchise as a whole?
I'm assuming it's the franchise, because I can't imagine a console game lasting that long, but I really don't know. Has there been any word on it?

3 RespuestasTimeline IMO given what we know 2014 - Destiny 1 (Main Series Game) 2015 - Comet 1 (Expansion Pack) 2016 - Spinoff Game 1 (like a Reach or ODST) 2017 - Destiny 2 2018 - Comet 2 2019 - Spinoff Game 2 2020 - Destiny 3 2021 - Comet 3 2022 - Spinoff Game 3 2023 - Destiny 4 (Which has a peak life that goes into 2024, when the deal between Bungie and Destiny will end, control of the series will be handed off to another company to squeeze the now cash cow for all it's worth, and Bungie will move on to making Crazzy Snipe, a 55-part series of episodic games that come out on a monthly basis over a 4-year period.)

17 RespuestasIt's going to be the first Destiny, then Comet DLC every other year, and I believe another installment at the end of the franchise (anybody wanna factcheck for me?)
