Me - it's a nerf
Bungie community - no it's not because reee (proceeds to lick boots) 👢

Boy this discussion really escalated
-
😂 ascendant shards are political didn't you know? Lmfao
-
90% of the community don't play 3 characters and only like 8% of these people probably play endgame enough to ever hit the current cap. So to ALMOST everyone this is just a buff.
-
Agreed, just don't get why people get so angry about people calling out a blatant nerf. I get it doesn't effect them to begin with but it just inflates the playtime for the people that it does. Especially if you like to make builds which is about the only thing I find fun in destiny anymore.
-
Editado por DuBChiri2: 7/29/2023 9:48:02 PMIt literally doesn't inflate playtime at all nor does it decrease it. You aren't grinding more or less gms because you hold less bro. You either grind out the number of activities to get 40, or you grind out the amount to get 30. Theres no difference in time at all, OTHER THAN WHEN YOU DO IT. 8 hours in a single day to have 40...vs 6 hours to get 30 and 2 more hours to get 10 the next day is STILL the same playtime. Or you use ALL 30 somehow, then grind 10 more...that's still the same playtime. Like come on bro

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/30/2023 5:08:51 PMI have 40 shards sitting on deck because I don't enjoy constantly running GM's. I like to play PvP/solo dungeons etc👍 Less shards = less builds = more waiting on GM's = running more GM's to make the same amount of builds each season What you are saying is technically true but what you are missing is if I'm making builds at the start of the season utilizing 40 golfballs (30 is less then that) then regrind the 40 back up, make more builds, regrind the 40 (30 is less then that) that's 20 less golfballs on top of the next cycle I'll be capped at 30 at the start of a season so technically 30 less golfballs 👍 also means more GM's in a season since I'm carrying over less 🤙
-
While that is true you are carrying over less, you still aren't doing any more or less gms at any given time, cause you'd still have to do 40 gms worth of ascendant shards...to have 40 in the first place. Though i suppose not having 40 right away next season then waiting for them to unlock gms is certainly a problem I didn't consider on your side. Regardless as I said, the only difference is that you have to do them at a different time, the actual amount you complete really won't change at all. Your build count and everything else doesn't change either, you just have a lower ceiling to work with in the beginning. If anything, it SAVES you time not HAVING to run it on other classes you might not be as strong with so you don't HAVE TO keep them super up-to-date to get your farm going. Should they have just made it 40? Yeah, why not. I wouldn't complain to have more...not that I would ever HAVE that many in the first place, but the end count for everything you dislike this change for doesn't really get affected as much as you say it is if you really look at it. There's probably more nuance I'm not quite thinking about to understand your side better, but I don't really know if it'd change my own feelings on the topic.

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/30/2023 6:17:35 PMI'll be doing more waiting on GM's/more GM's overall in a single season.. I'm not about that life, I like to play what I want to play, when I want to play it. It's just Bungie doing what they do. Micromanaging how you play the game/playtime as well doing whatever they can to keep players engaged with the hamster wheel. (Don't get me started on bounties/seasonal challenges/journey😂🤣) GM's are so easy now that they take the same amount of time no matter what class you are on.
-
“Inflates the playtime”. So while it does in theory, those playing the game often (the 1% that has maxed cap right now) would already be playing the same amount of time regardless. The people that can hit max cap right now, probably have zero issue going and getting more in a efficient and effective manner.
-
I'm not playing the same amount now. I'm taking a break from the game. The only effective efficient way to get shards are when GM's roll around, specifically double drop GM's. Only thing I've found enjoyable in destiny as of late are builds and less shards just means less builds at the start of each new season and more waiting on GM's.
-
10 exotics don’t even drop each season, so if your maxed out the season prior, how do you even spend 30 shares to begin with?! 3 exotics per season, plus a full set of gear masterworked legendary gear for each character is 24 shards. And you’re gonna tell me that you need more?
-
Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/29/2023 8:52:29 PMThere are a ton of exotics in the game, especially if you play all 3 characters. So you use every exotic in the game? No. I use meta and off meta builds and still haven't created builds utilizing every exotic in the game.. and I make new builds typically twice a season to keep things fresh. Yes, it's why I have 400 pieces of armor in the vault all 66+. I enjoy build crafting, it's about the only thing I find enjoyable in destiny at the moment. Less shards = less builds = more waiting on GM's = running more GM's to create the same amount of builds. https://d2armorpicker.com/#/

You’re wasting your breath. These kinderguardians are not worth our time. I’ve tried to explain I’d rather be playing content I want to play than grinding GMs to get materials. My stack of 40 has fluctuated up and down this season. In fact it went down to about 12, through gaining better armour and making new builds. I replaced it naturally just guilding Conqueror or assisting friends to do the same. Now if I want to chase a better rolled exotic or make a new build I’m going to have to play more GM’s to replace my stack, as I’ll have less to begin with. These one character players don’t understand. On the whole it is not the actual issue abut the numbers or the fact I’ll have to play more GMs. For me it’s about the continued disrespect and lies from Bungie. 1% my -blam!-. 1% of what number? It’s about control, and how that links to psychological addiction through the dopamine grind gameplay loop. And Bungie have the audacity to advertise mental health services during flight interludes.

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/30/2023 4:57:56 PMPretty much all this twice ^ Swear they go into meetings and are like... How can we get the hardcore players stuck on the hamster wheel longer 😂 Kind of why I've barely played over the past month or so.. so have most of my hardcore friends. This game just isn't it. I haven't even finished rank 11 on the journey because all I'm missing is commendations and I'll be damned if I'm doing a ton of raids/GM's to get the ones I need. Who knew commendations would be harder then solo flawlessing a dungeon 😂
-
Would've preferred a 999 cap for me personally. That or let me use my vault to hold an extra 30. Like come on what's the point of the vault if I'm not allowed using it.
-
That's what I'm saying lol why can't you at bare minimum vault shards like you can cores? It's almost like they don't want people build crafting which is weird. Maybe they think it would devalue builds? But in that case nerfs devalue builds more then anything, so no clue really.
-
imagine thinking the studio that makes games for entertainment, that you can play or not, are jackbooted, fascist thugs. no one is "licking" anyone's "boots". There are no boots in this relationship. It's a game made by game makers. grow up.

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/28/2023 10:54:55 PM👀 At the things they support... They kind of are That said, what does anything you just said have to do with artificially inflating play time? Which apparently you support 🤙 You may want to look up the meaning of the word. "an obsequious or overly deferential person" Grow up

Editado por $Three: 7/28/2023 10:59:00 PMwe got an acrobat over here. nice. i have no idea how you got to where you got, but i'm sure it's sensible to you. i'm a proponent of personal responsibility. you don't need all the guns, you don't need all the armor ornaments , shoot, with this mod system you don't even need good armor. play for fun, then stop when the fun stops the funny thing is that i hear your dog whistle too. Fascism is fierce nationalism coupled with a sense of the purity of the in group, and the inferiority of all out groups. MAGA is fascism. Queerness is liberty.

Editado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 7/28/2023 11:12:12 PMI used the term as it's intended, that upset you That's a you problem, not me 👍 What are you even going on about? What's anything you just wrote have to do with artificially inflating playtime? Put the kool-aid down, take a breath, go touch some grass ❤️ If you are going to use terms, know the meaning. I highly suggest you open a dictionary 👍 you seem to have some wild opinions about more then just ascendant shards.
-
ThreeDollar refuted your point. Playtime cannot be inflated if players stop when their fun stops. Gg no re
-
What does that have to do with a nerf to ascendant shards? Nerfing the amount of ascendant shards artificially inflates playtime. I don't recall stating if that's fun or not fun Go no re
-
Players decide to inflate their playtime. That's their problem. Very simple 2 understand
-
Ah, so Bungie never does anything to artificially inflate playtime... good to know 🙄 (extreme sarcasm)
