New Masterwork Material Caps
Starting in Season 22, we will be tripling the caps for Ascendant Shards and Alloys, and doubling the cap for Enhancement Prisms:
Item Old Cap New Cap
Ascendant Shard 10 30
Ascendant Alloy 10 30
Enhancement Prism 50 100
Note: there is no change for Upgrade Modules or Enhancement Cores.
A big reason we are making this change is to remove the risk of losing these materials at the Postermaster. Now that the caps have been increased, we are removing the ability for these items to go to the Postmaster. If players already have full stacks of any of these materials in their inventory, moving forward, these will behave like Glimmer, and the player won't receive any more of the items until they are below the cap.
Before making this update, we looked at the total number of players that would be affected by this particular change, and it turns out that less than 1% hold more than the new increased caps of these materials at their Postmaster. In other words, 99% of the playerbase will benefit from having higher inventory caps.
That doesn't mean that players currently holding currency at the Postmaster will lose them when the new Season arrives. While new currency drops won’t be going to the Postmaster anymore, let's make one thing crystal clear: the Ascendant Shards, Ascendant Alloys, and Enhancement Prisms currently at their Postmaster will remain until they’re claimed.
***Its actually a reduction in everything, shards, 10 in inventory, 10 0n each character Postmaster, total 40, now to be 30, prisms, 50 plus 50 Postmaster, total 200, now to be 100.. Complete Bungie con job***

Editado por rednayeL: 7/30/2023 12:07:21 PMOh no, what will we do now that we have 30 shards instead of 40? You mean I’ll be throwing even more of them in the garbage because as it is, I must be losing at least 100 every season because I’m already full all the time. Who cares.
-
You can have multiple stacks of cores on you Really upgrade modules ? They cost nothing and are getting less and less useful since we don't get increased light between season

Editado por amazinj2084: 7/29/2023 7:46:10 AMStart using your materials. Problem solved.

Good change.
-
It’s a great change that benefits the majority

The only people this change negatively affects are players that like to look at shiny objects in their postmaster. If you constantly feel a need to have 40 AS, you are not using your AS often enough. It's funny, people complain about Bungie putting in ways to artificially inflate playtime, I would argue needing to grind out GMs on all 3 characters just to have those materials get pushed out of the Postmaster to re-grind is the definition of artificially inflating playtime. It's not a buff, it's not a nerf, it's a massive QoL update. Change my Mind.
-
So you’re technically losing 10 golf balls from the stack of 40 you’re already not using, lol.

1 RespuestaEditado por Slevi: 7/28/2023 9:09:39 PMSeems fine with me. How many of you actually use your full stack of 40? I might just masterwork an exotic arms here and there, but Ive never bled exotic shards.

6 RespuestasPostmaster never was, is, or will be storage.

9 RespuestasIf you’re hoarding that much and constantly full the change doesn’t effect you, and that’s only 1% of the player base. News flash just cause your losing 10 from the total cap doesn’t make it a nerf, same with the others. You guys need to quit acting like spoiled children but then again I am on the destiny forums.

Good.No more using postmaster as storage.

8 RespuestasWhat's the point in having more than 30 golf balls.. this is literally a none issue on almost every level. If they're in your post master, you're not using them on master working gear. I mean seriously.
-
I usually don’t chime in on things like this, but I haven’t needed to masterwork a new piece of armor for a build in I don’t know how many seasons. If the issue is you need that many stashed, then you aren’t using said resources, which in my book, is a non issue. Use the mats, and if you blow through all those full stacks, and still need more, then I could see the gripe. I don’t know why people are afraid to use materials they’ve grinded for. Kind of defeats the purpose in earning them in the first place. Use them, earn them again, use them, earn them again. What is the problem? Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em. If you ain’t smoking’ ‘em, why you got ‘em?

Dude who cares. I want f….ing dedicated servers!!!
-
Literally just infuse random exotic armor to hold the materials. Damn crybabys

Editado por Emurinus: 7/29/2023 2:04:59 AMAsking yet again, but how many people actually need to be constantly full on those materials? If people have ground out enough materials to get 40 shards in their inventory/postmaster, then 30 should already be more than enough since they clearly aren't using them. Hell, 30 is still 10 fully masterworked exotics, and most people likely won't even burn through all of those passively. This ultimately only hurts compulsive hoarders, cause anyone else is either capable of grinding out those materials again should they actually burn though those, or they don't collect those materials enough to hit the cap often. Personally, what annoyed me the most about the TWAB is that enhancement cores are still not being consolidated to 9,999 a stack. Those are (technically) uncapped, yet they're just taking up multiple inventory slots because it's too easy to earn them. Preferably, they should become a currency like glimmer/legendary shards so they don't take up inventory space.
-
As right you may be, why do you even need more than 30 30 100? I'm always at max, I couldn't care less about this changes. If you are always at max neither should you care
-
Let's all make sure we cram our Postmasters full of the stuff they are about to take away before the season ends... Personally I have a fair amount of MW'd stuff and like having the freedom (i.e. A-shards) to do that with items, especially but not limited to exotics, when I get a good one. Once again it's about Bungo telling us how to spend our time, rather than letting us enjoy what we choose.

Editado por The Hermit IX: 7/29/2023 12:19:54 AMI think they are moving away from the materiel resources we are currently using. I wouldn’t be shocked to see cores and prisms removed completely and replaced by using the armor and weapons in game to upgrade them I also think shards won’t be the currency during FS either. The whole thing about changing the numbers isn’t a big deal and won’t make a difference to most players. Lol I see guys complaining about it and half their gear isn’t masterworked. People like to cry.
-
I willing to bet once the update goes live you’re not even going to be affected by the new cap.
-
They should give us 5 silver for every one we get after it’s filled. Never
