You are right the OP, not you or anyone for that matter speaks for the entire community. But spamming a mechanic for 7 years now seriously? Bungie's new spam is the broken champions/mods they have been spamming. Maybe after 14 years of working on 2 games the company should actually learn how to come up with new mechanics, not just spamming the same ones.

It was placed on this company that as a developer they should be a lot more creative seeing how they have had 14 years. Anyway, we all have an option about things, and I have every right as a customer to judge what I want.

  • I definitely don't speak for everyone but they are not a literal issue. With practice its easy to do reading tells and timing it. Stomping is meant to make you either risk going in for damage or keep your distance. Sure the knockback could be toned down slightly but again it's still totally manageable in the current state. It's more annoying with a boss that's all over the place imo or just stands there with no risk. I personally have 0 issues with champions minus unstop sidearm. I have no issues killing them but I am on PC so maybe it's a console thing. I guess my view leans towards more difficult content, which is fun for me but fun is subjective vs others.

  • I'm curious what could you see possibly replacing them. I'm sure the champ mods rotation is to force us to change it up. (Recluse/mt forever is an example) Would you take a fast moving hard to hit boss over the usual sit/stomp/mechanic we have had forever? Something like that actually restricts us with loadouts more than stationary targets.

  • Did you ever run P.O.E in D1? I prefer a challenge vs a boss just standing there looking stupid. There are options and many of them. It's just a matter of the developer wanting to be creative, having the motivation, inspiration...

  • I remember Poe which was fun. Also remember being on the ghally end while others were left out till we could out power skolas. Those bosses otherwise we're pretty cool and it was a fun repeatible activity like menagerie. They were pretty big and mostly stationary as well tho minus skolas. Imo we need more content not like this overdrawn under rewarding seasonal content as of lately. I'm pretty sure casual players and console players would have a lot harder time with a very fast moving boss and attempting to DPS it. So add mechanics between immunity phases because we 1 phase everything maybe? Problem is people still think the raids now are mechanic heavy- also ever run corrupted and notice something with randoms and the orbs? Or that chosen event/d1 court of oryx having to connect the 2 bosses and blueberries can't figure it out?
