Would you like to see my timelost hezen vengeance to prove it?

No way you got to Atheon in 30 mins.. Nice checkpoint clear of one encounter
-
We went to orbit so one of my teammates could get upgrade modules. It's funny that you think you hit me with a "gotcha" here
-
That actually shows.. I missed it. You spent 4 and a half hours getting to the challenge encounter and then went to orbit. You died 80 times getting there. It was four and a half hours to do three encounters that give loot. That is redic and you should admit that instead of telling everyone to basically git gud and you could do it on console.
-
I mean... I could have done it on console It was absolutely a long time but the vast majority of that was spent with us figuring out strats, because they are completely different from normal mode. None of us went into master vog expecting to get a clear in like an hour or two, we knew we were going in underleveled and that it was going to take a long ass time. If you expected anything different I don't know what to tell you.
-
I expected to get past the door opening in less then 3 hours with a team around 1340 light. \ \Maybe you could hop on your playstation and take the place of our lowest light person and show us the way you get it done?
-
I haven't payed for playstation plus in a long time, nor do I intend on it, but I can tell you the strats we used. The doors are still not fun though, even on pc. It was very reliant on having blinding nades and stasis to slow/freeze enemies running towards the plate, and deathbringer/anarchy to murder praetorians and cyclopes as quickly as possible. Also, if you were using overload smg to stun champions, way better to use overload handcannon. The smg mod does not work at all.
-
That was our strat... three stasis warlocks and three banner shield titans that ended up switching to stasis. We all had blinding nades and overload hand cannons. We literally couldn't stay alive.. so we tried devour and that helped but we would eventually get overrun. My whole point is that bungie shouldn't have made the entry level 1350 and they could have toned it down just a bit to make it approachable for average players. Bro, I'm conqueror gilded and I'll gild it again this season. I love harder content. This just wasn't fun and it should be.
-
yeah I will say the doors are seriously rough, the rest of the raid felt way easier once the strats were down but I will not lie in saying that we were a little bit lucky on making it through doors.
-
we got really close a few times and then just decided it wasn't worth being up all night over when we all have real lives to get too. I'm hoping they tone it down, or bring the level to 1340 or something so it's approachable.
-
I think doors in particular is gonna get a little easier based on modifier rotation, a big part of what I think makes it so difficult this week is that we don't have radar and you're gonna have ads spawning behind you so it is super super critical to have everyone calling out all the important targets as soon as they see them, and if you don't catch even one of them it can be hell for your entire team.
-
Hmm.. didn’t think about the ads. Hey, thanks man. I wasn’t trying to be a jerk earlier. I just thought you had jumped a checkpoint and were being the typical git Gus gamer. Sorry.
-
Yeah I kind of understand, there's plenty of people on these forums throwing around claims they can't back up and I won't blame anybody for being a little suspicious.
-
It’s frustrating for me especially given all that I’ve accomplished in this game and time I’ve spent only to have a simple 1350 grind stop me from progressing. My buddy just reached 1350 light level. He doesn’t work. His season pass level is 438.. I mean that’s crazy. If you do a master strike at 1333 that’s rated for 1340 it feels doable. You realize you are somewhat low but not so low it’s impossible. I’m at 1343 and had a significant light level issue. That isn’t fair With that premise I thought master VOG would be approachable and fun but it isn’t so far.
-
Yeah it can kind of suck with it feeling like light level is locking you out. Also I just got reminded of one other important bit of strategy, so long as you have capped the plate once and the praetorians and champions don't get on it you don't actually need to stand on the plate, so you should be able to deal with enemies from a distance so long as you hard prioritize those ones and get rid of them fast.
-
We also knew that.. well at least I did. I wonder if my team did. Thanks again
-
no problem, really. I hope you can make it through and get that clear. After spending three hours on doors I think you deserve it.
