So you think content vaulting is bad because it means new players cannot become invested in the game?
Yet the Red War campaign also didn't properly introduce players to the world and confused them?
They can't become invested in the game because "content expires"? I fail to see how this is a problem since the only content which it as risk of going away is content that wouldn't engage a new player anyway. Forsaken is a nice story and all, but still nothing which engages a new player since the entire DLC relies on your connection with Cayde-6, otherwise it's just a pointless kill quest.

Something is still better then nothing. Yes, the Red war was not good. But it at least introduced the characters of the vanguard. Which would lead the player into Forsaken knowing who Cayde is. Instead of getting thrown into a strike after meeting shaw han. Once you get to the tower, you don't get a story. You don't even get a proper game. You get nothing but a grind. No one wants to grind for the sake of grinding. And no, paid content does not "expire." It either sits in your game waiting for you to play it or it goes back into your download library. Taking away content that your playerbase PAID for is flat out unacceptable.
