I can't tell if this is a troll or not... a lot of times I think somethings a troll post asking for a buff and sometimes they're serious.

It’s a 360 auto with half the range and a linear mode with a ridiculously long charge time paired with a catalyst that goes against its whole design... The post is spot on.
also 360rpms suck in general...
-
It's only good for getting Fusion rifle kills for bounties right now that's it
-
Titan boots and charged with light mods make it somewhat usable in pvp
-
Vex Mythoclast is pretty bad so it’s a more serious post.
-
Do you have the gun yet? It's borderline underpowered and at best average. The linear mode is cool and all but the fact you lose stacks when switching weapons is rather stupid (we can thank pvp for this reason I'm sure).
-
Very likely serious as it's just an 360 rpm auto but uses more expensive mods
-
My question is this: Why are they talking about body shots... when it can deal crit damage- and therefore why are they not aiming for the head...?
-
The crit damage is not any more powerful tbh. At all. It still is so weak, even in strikes it feels underwhelming. As for the troll comment, I’m actually serious about what I post and say. You should try it sometime 😊
-
No idea the thing is pretty accurate like in d1
-
I'm gonna say it's a troll post- cause even the secondary fire can kill red and orange bars with one shot... and if not, put an orange bar in critical health. That or they saw it was a "Fusion Rifle" and thought "Oh so body shots like a normal fusion."
-
Just thinking, of a normal fusion take 7 bolts or so from a charged blast to kill, would sort of make sense that it would take 7 bolts to the body from Vex Mythoclast to kill... 🤔 Yet you can hit crits with Mytho and aren’t using it like a secondary fusion and get a lot more range out of it🤔. Perhaps the issue is on the user end with their expectations since it bears the archetype fusion... expecting each bolt to hit with the power of 7 bolts... 🤷🏼♂️

Bungie have already said they’re looking at it cause it’s below par
-
Have you used the gun? Even with precision shots it’s about as strong as auto rifles except it uses special ammo and it’s range is terrible. The linear part of it is weaker then normal linear rifles shots and to even make use of that part you need to main it and can’t use Primary/Heavy. The one thing I really like about it is how overcharging reloads and firing off the shots reloads again, This part on it feels good. The low damage/range and the inability to swap weapons is what makes it a terrible choice, The catalyst is also extremely underwhelming. Should been Rampage and Zen Moment which were its perks from D1. This would’ve made the low base damage somewhat acceptable
-
1. Uses primary ammo 2. Duh if it did the same damage as the heavy counterpart it would be broken as heck it also only uses primary 3. No if you fire the shots it doesn't reload it again it uses a shot from the magazine 4. about 10% more damage than any other 360rpm range is bad however
-
Ok went back and tested. 1. You are correct it does use primary, don’t know how I didn’t notice that. 2. You are correct again and after using the sniper it doesn’t reload, doesn’t really matter as it’s only 3 shots. Considering it has no perks that improve damage/reload a 10% increase (5% over Kinect 360’s) is pretty bad. A single stack of rampage allows any auto to overtake its damage killing potential. It’s heavy shots 100% should deal the same as a proper heavy in this case. As I said, You can’t swap weapons if your using it and you need 3-6 kills to even use those shots. Your more then likely going to hold onto your sniper rounds until there’s something worth shooting (Again no heavy or specials) So your stuck with an extremely poor primary to kill ads with in the meantime with no special/heavy available. Using your sniper rounds to one shot red bars is silly when special weapons do the same.

Ya Linear mode is good the gun is balanced for what it does tbh and I guess it could be why people think it's bad because balanced gun in an unbalanced meta

Well it's on par with typical exotics, but it's a raid exotic, so it should be judged on different standards, whether by suggesting that they should be better or more entertaining in some way. Acrius: For a long time, it was very viable DPS as a shotgun so it was very unique, and it was on par with Whisper that released months after, so it had a time to shine. 1k voices: The third heavy fusion rifle. Huge blast radius and huge burst damage. Anarchy: Arguably the best component to various combined DPS builds, and it has good utility on account of the damage over time. Tarrabah: People complain about this one a great deal, but it falls into the damage echelon of a heavy weapon in beast mode. Huge cost since you can't keep it if you swap, and it takes some work to build it up, but the payoff is huge. Eyes of tomorrow: If it had a damage reduction to bosses, clearly something was too good with this one. It's probably the fastest clearer of adds there is, and once you clear several, it gets a huge damage boost that nearly counteracts the damage handicap it has to bosses. And now, mythoclast: It hits with the damage of Arbalest in unlimiter mode. In low level activities you'll have this mode very often, so in override you're fully prepared to melt the blockers or other bosses. But Tarrabah can do that probably better because it has higher DPS and doesn't require crits. Mythoclast shoots one shot that only costs one ammo though in unlimiter mode so it is very ammo efficient. But that's not a worthwhile tradeoff in low-level activities because ammo isn't scarce. It's also a very slick weapon with its catalyst, but it doesn't help very much when its range is around 20-25 meters until damage falloff. So I'm very much looking forward to whatever Bungie does to improve the weapon.
