• Thanks for the link. Interesting to see how they will enforce their ToS based off someone's action on a completely different platform. Reading through the comments, seems like this more aimed at Destiny content creators who do have a "public" facing persona where their actions might have a negative view on Destiny and on Bungie. Don't get me wrong, racism and hate speech has no place in society (and it never has), but I think this is a bold statement that Dylan is making when the very ToS / CoC he references has not been updated to reflect this new direction. Will be very interesting to see how and when Bungie will make good on this proclamation. All I can say is good luck to Bungie and their moderation teams with identifying the identity of a Destiny player based off an account from a different platform.

This, if Sony for example decides it doesn't want to anything against a player then the only thing Bungie can do is ban them from D2, and with the state of the game that would be preferrable for most.

They can monitor their games and in-game communications all they want to. I agree, there shouldn’t be hate speech or racist comments. However, not one company who are starting to implement this kind of stuff (I think EA announced a similar policy) can define what is hate speech, because it is a subjective term. I could say i dislike a person of some random race and I’ll be labeled a racist despite the fact I just find that person of that random race to be a dick. I hope an asteroid obliterates this world lol.
I hope an asteroid obliterates this world lol.
edit: hit the enter before writing out my reply.. Probably wouldn't be a bad thing if that were to happen.. Clear the slate and let Earth start over again.
