I will say that Stasis is a free kill a majority of the time, not all, but a lot. Kinda like Jotunn and telesto were a while back. There are a lot of smaller maps, but even on a smaller map like Javelin 4, I got instantly melted before I could even launch a gl, throw a nade, etc. When the whole fireteam is running Messenger, you're done. The long range ability issue is often negated on what I call the sweatiest maps (Javelin 4, Radiant Cliffs, etc.) because all the other team would do is just hang back and make you come to them. Then they wait until one of your bluberries get's impatient, runs out and gets capped. Then you've got no choice, you can sit there until time, or try to get a kill back. The shurikens are actually easier to dodge than Jotunn rounds. With the nerf to warlock range, you've got to be right up on someone in order for their melee to work. As to the supers, most of the trials sweatlords I ran into were also running suppresor nades and armamentarium, so even if you got close, you got the purple nurple treatment. As to the principle of it, we always have to play counter to some cheap nonsense. There have been times where I get fed up with the dumb in crucible and say to my brother, "Let's just jotunn these fools, I'm tired of their crap." Now for taking a break, I say go for it. There's times I take D2 breaks and then come back for the shenanigans.
