Mithrax has more balls than Variks and is doing more for the Eliksni. Dude has a fireteam of Guardians and does Guardian work without any powers. He's the greatest Eliksni and the reason we may one day have an Eliksni district and vanguard presence in the last city.
Mithrax for Hunter Vanguard.
• Not really. He’s a relatively new guy with little lore and aside from working with guardians and the house light bit he hasn’t done much at all. Besides variks from a writing standpoint is practically the Kell of Kells. He has so much character development in the lore and it all culminated in forsaken, but the devs basically dropped it in favor of mithrax, a character we know little about beyond the fact that he’s just a random guy doing operator stuff.

 • Variks. Kell of kells. Lmao! Mithrax has done more and I already covered why if you're willing to read through that annoying exchange I had with that idiot.

 • I did a bit and I personally disagree. Yeah I see your point but I’ll clarify some stuff the other guy got wrong. For one variks never stopped house wolves from joining the battle of six fronts, that’s was Mara sov. He did however end the reef war ( a mix of civil war between house wolves and their war with the reef) by selling out skolas to the queen, ending a conflict that costed tens of thousands and could have costed millions more had he not intervened. He also helped us track and defeat skolas and end his plans to unify the fallen under his deranged rule. He aided in the taken war using his intel to supply the reef and guardians with intel on the enemy. While he hasn’t necessarily saved mankind his contributions are far larger than anything mithrax has accomplished thus far. We know nothing of house light or it’s capabilities and so far it’s regarded as a small faction. And while it’s true he helps the city I wouldn’t jump to him having any more claim to be Kell of Kells, or really a Kell for that matter. As for the bad stuff, he freed the barons out of a sense of loyalty to uldren and as a smokescreen to leave the prison, he was torn up inside from seeing how far his people had fallen and wanted to make a change but realized he couldn’t if he remained as warden, and feeling that it was the only way he could free uldren at the same time he released all prisoners. His time under eramis was because he didn’t realize how much her hatred for the traveler had consumed her and early on she seemed to have the fallen bests interest in mind (which to variks was about peace and survival) but he left when he realized she was tampering with power beyond her control.

 • Variks only did those things because he was forced to. He was the queen's pet. He knew he had to suck d*** because the Wolves rebelled and he knew his standing as an Eliksni was under scrutiny by the angered Awoken. He did all that on order of the Queen. Mithrax did everything on his own because he had heart. He doesn't have powers and throws himself into Guardian assignments. He helped stopped an invasion and destruction of The Last Cities infrastructure and helped secure a highly devastating super weapon that could've been used against the Last City if replicated. It doesn't matter if we don't know about the House of Light because what we DO know is that it is a legitimate force of Eliksni allied with the Last City and The Traveler. This is a full Redemption of Mithrax's people and could lead to Eliskni Guardians, a presence in the City, and more. These are active allies in the coming war. Variks has never provided help on this level until now, with him organizing evac for Mithrax's members. On paper and in reality, this is far more beneficial to Humanity than what Variks has done which was mostly him being at gunpoint or under scrutiny or distrust if you remember the D1 lore of other Awokens suspicions. So yeah. Mithrax is the redeemer of the Eliksni and the greatest one to ever live by these standards but I respect your opinion and I do after all, like the new Variks a lot and cant wait to him as scribe to Mithrax.

 • Feel free to think that, hell the devs probably see it that way. But everything tells me that realistically. Mithrax, while a good guy, is just an operator and nothing more. Variks was a character with good writing and potential ruined because the writers for some reason are allergic to good ideas or rational character progression.

 • Pretty sure my man surviving hundreds of years of war with only his mind and words, speaking out against and then betraying a tyrant, getting mutilated and still trying to help both us and his own people, gives him a bigger set of balls but whatever. That’s nice that you think Misraaks is better just because he uses his physical strength. Toxic masculinity at its best. Variks has helped us far more than Misraaks ever has. Variks is perfect the way he is, he doesn’t need to punch things to prove himself. But whatever you can like Misraaks more just don’t come at my man or I’ll point out how you’re wrong. By the way it’s not Variks’s fault that we decided to just not listen to him lmao he literally tried so hard to have an alliance with us and helped us consistently. Then Misraaks comes along and everyone’s swooning over him, when he’s only doing what Variks already did, just with his fists. What a joke.
Variks for speaker
• ...Why are you getting so emotional over a fictional character and accusing me of toxic masculinity? You're worse than then that Scorn obsessed Skybro guy. Get a grip. Variks tortured his own people in prison...only to free them so they could wreak havok and upset the Tangled shore and Awoken, who already lost alot of their kind. He's a sell out that eventually grew some morals. Mithrax came to his sense way faster and is organizing the House of Light. Words only do so much. Actions speak louder than words. Saying Variks did more than Mithrax is like saying the Speaker is greater than legendary/veteran guardians because he has honeyed words. Variks has not accomplished anything notable and if anything, he has done more harm than good. He got cayde killed. He freed a bunch of criminals which led to the Scorn. He was assisting Eramis which would've led to the bombardment in the dark future if it weren't for Elsie Bray intervening. Oh, and he also indirectly caused the Veil on the Dreaming City to be broken so Riven could curse it. Whereas Mithrax: Helped stop an attack on our Cities infrastructure. Helped secure Outbreak. Does Guardian work and has an actual Fireteam to fight our enemies. Organized the House of Light which is beneficial to the survival of his people AND to the last city. If Variks never existed, a lot of bad things wouldnt have happened. These are the facts. I love him as a character but he isnt the savior you make him out to be lol
a sell out that eventually grew some morals.
Wrong. He always had morals which is why attacks on innocent people bothered him.
Mithrax came to his sense way faster
Misraaks hasn’t even been alive for half Variks’s age lmfao
Variks has not accomplished anything notable
What a disgusting display of ungratefulness and utter ignorance
He freed a bunch of criminals which led to the Scorn.
No the scorn already existed
He was assisting Eramis which would've led to the bombardment in the dark future if it weren't for Elsie Bray intervening.
??????? Variks is where Elsie got the shard??? He left Eramis when he realized she was using the darkness??? He helped us??????
Whereas Mithrax: Helped stop an attack on our Cities infrastructure.
Okay and Variks saved humanity itself. Do you not remember that if House Wolves had joined in that one fight the city would have fallen? It said so in the lore. He saved the awoken and humanity.
Does Guardian work and has an actual Fireteam to fight our enemies.
And that’s toxic masculinity. Why does Variks have to fight with his hands to be as good as Misraaks?
If Variks never existed, a lot of bad things wouldnt have happened
If Variks never existed humanity would be basically completely wiped out. You sicken me

You sicken me
No, I don't know who you are. Nor do I care. My attitude? Because I like someone who accomplishes things through actions and heroics that means I'm displaying toxic masculinity? Quite the assumption and quite the ad hominem. Weak. That's irrelevant. He still tortured his own people and took pleasure out of seeing them get destroyed for sport by Guardians. No way you can spin that one. Age doesn't matter. Deeds do. Hes done more than say poetic things. Hes taken action. "Disgusting display of ungratefulness and utter ignorance." All I can say to that is...seek help. Doesnt matter. He freed her. Elsie engineered the current state of affairs by time hax. Surely you've seen Avengers Endgame or other time travel plots? Shes outcome manipulating. No he didn't. That is a lie and theres no way to know for certain if that would've led to a defeat because we lost the city during the Red War and still won. Irrelevant. The feminist strikes again. That's not toxic masculinity. Mithrax is actively making efforts to fight our enemies whereas Variks has only recently startes helping humanity and I'm not hearing any of that "variks saved humanity" shit. I sicken you because you're immature and cant handle a debate without resorting to ad hominem. YOU, sicken me. Grow up stop writing terrible fan fiction, child. So now that you've made an ass out of yourself waging war for a fictional character and everyone can see it, I'll be muting you. Most pathetic forum use I've seen in a while 🤢🤮

 • You said I write terrible fanfiction so you DO know who I am Huh? 🤔
He still tortured his own people and took pleasure out of seeing them get destroyed for sport by Guardians. No way you can spin that one.
I don’t need to spin it... they were criminals
Hes done more than say poetic things.
I think Variks saying poetic things is hot... but to each their own
No he didn't. That is a lie and theres no way to know for certain if that would've led to a defeat because we lost the city during the Red War and still won. Irrelevant.
Nope it’s in the lore
The feminist strikes again.
Nope I’m not a feminist. I’m actually typically a man defender ...which is why I defended him and men being able to have emotions and not do everything with their hands
Grow up stop writing terrible fan fiction, child.
But all my fans, will be left without content!!!! 🥺
So now that you've made an ass out of yourself
Eh, it ain’t the first time kid. Me and Variks both
I'll be muting you.
Sigh. Happens every time. Really sad when one person just can’t handle a debate so they prevent the other from responding/ can’t see their response. Oh well!
