They're absolute trash against those Whisper bosses, you might as well go at them and do sword swings and die over and over again. That's actually more effective. I used a High impact with full reserves and hit mostly headshots on one of the bosses, and it didn't even take the boss's health down to half. Quite pathetic.

Helped a friend with whisper and used sword for that very reason. Snipers are just trash on d2, which makes no justifiable sense given that most games have snipers as the boss killer and shotguns as more of a get off me weapon to deal with tougher and more numerous things in your face.
