I’ll give you two.
Firstly, if nothing is removed, if I could still use my year 1 fatebringer, no other gun in this game could possibly matter. I as a player, would have no reason to ever use anything else. It wasn’t about balancing, or meta.... if you had a fatebringer, you had your gun, I haven’t met many if any who had it and didn’t feel the same.
2. They are about to ask me for 40 bucks. If they roll out the same old shit, and charge me money without giving me a reason to care, a carrot to chase, I’m not giving them 40 bucks. This happens in every game of this type that runs any amount of time. You probably have a handful of guns you use.... so you want to use them In perpetuity?

I used fatebringer sure. But I also used vision of confluence, word of Crota and my favourite... First Curse. Amongst many others. I would have loved to carry First Curse through 10 years of Destiny. Doesn't mean I wouldn't have used something else as well. I'd just like my favourite weapons to be viable for the lifespan of the game.

Your reason are awful....just terrible.
-
Ok. Thanks for your contribution.
-
If I could run Fatebringer, Black Hammer, and Ghorn for the whole franchise I’d never look at loot again. All of it would be infusion fuel.
-
Exactly my point.
-
Exactly my point.
Who does that affect though? Does it affect you personally if someone wants to use the same thing forever? Or are you defending bungies terrible ideas with terrible excuses?

You can’t have the game last 7 years with no loot.
-
Not everyone uses the same loot over and over, some do, some don’t, basically it’s a -blam!- you to anyone that does like to have their favourite stuff rather than try new stuff.
-
Not everyone uses the same loot over and over, some do, some don’t, basically it’s a -blam!- you to anyone that does like to have their favourite stuff rather than try new stuff.
75% of people are using recluse in PvE. That’s 25% of people using one of the other hundreds of energy weapons. New stuff needs priority over old stuff. Literally every loot game that intends to last has old loot retired in some way.
-
Oh aye, you believe you are gonna get new stuff? 🤣 good luck with that. Borderlands, a better loot game than destiny, doesn’t retire weapons and it’s fine.
-
Oh aye, you believe you are gonna get new stuff? 🤣 good luck with that. Borderlands, a better loot game than destiny, doesn’t retire weapons and it’s fine.
Not a natter of believing. We get new stuff every 3 months. Have you played borderlands? When new loot/new level cap is added the old loot’s level doesn’t increase. It’s the same thing that’s going to happen in destiny. Your old loot’s level cap isn’t going to increase forever.
-
I played borderlands plenty, level cap doesn’t change with what I have but I can re-farm it and get it at the higher level, it’s not retired.
-
I played borderlands plenty, level cap doesn’t change with what I have but I can re-farm it and get it at the higher level, it’s not retired.
So you regrind for what you already have... If that was the system bungie was implementing, you’d see more outrage and rightfully so. We get a year of a weapon being infusable to max and then it caps off. The loot for the following year then replaced it.
-
Bungies system is totally worse lol if bungie raise their level cap players can just infuse their favourite stuff further up but now it’s being totally removed and replaced with something else they have to both grind for and then infuse up to max light. That kinda system is only gonna appeal to those that burn through content and are constantly wanting to chase their tail to give them something to do. Whatever, I stand by my comment, it shouldn’t bother anyone what someone else uses.

The new system in destiny will have you replacing that loot with new stuff. When new loot loses value because majority of players are using loot from a year and a half ago, things need to change. All loot games have loot retire, this is how destiny is doing it.

Sounds like an absolute waste of time, lucky for me I have borderlands.

That would allow for more competition and variety of weapons. On your second point, why pay 40 bucks for content that will become obsolete in a few months? You would've paid money for something you could use for a little bit, and then throw away.

Weapons that overshadow and overpower what you have would be the same exact thing as sunsetting your current weapons. Video games are disposable entertainment, if I am paying for something new... well I would prefer it be new. I would suggest not purchasing any future expansions if you want to maintain a stagnant experience.
-
Editado por TJ_Dot: 6/1/2020 11:28:32 AM"Stronger" weapons doesn't sunset gear, it isn't the same. I can still take Quickfang wherever, as a top weapon in Crown of Sorrow, if Forsaken capped it, that'd be impossible
-
You could still use it in crown of sorrow as it would be the correct light level for that raid.
-
And you're missing the point. Despite being single perked and arguably weak, quickfang was not sunsetted by stronger weapons. My example waa proof.

I most likely won't be playing this game due to a stagnant experiences that will come. The "new" you are paying for is going to be guns that were sunset that Bungie brings back. It would also be nice to not have content expire. It would be similar to buying a DVD only to have the player blow up after watching it. Sure you get to go get a "new" one, but it's still a DVD player nonetheless.

Bungie has come out as stated returning weapons will be in the minority.
