Collections was built so you know what items you had and where to get them, not so you could get free loot.

No it was made so we could make room in our vaults and still have the gear. Doesn't work when only year 1 items and the pinnacle weapons. Also it is not free when it takes resources to re-obtain them as we already have to do for none random rolled and ghosts/sparrows/ships.
-
5 gunsmith materials and a few shards is free. Unless you play this game 1 hour a year.
-
Argue about whether random drops are possible or whatever, but you’re wrong about the purpose of collections. It was explicitly stated that collections was brought in as a design element to clear up room in your vault to allow us to pull weapons out when needed. Nothing to do with free loot. And sure as hell nothing to do with figuring out what we had already gotten.
-
To avoid giving away "free loot" reacquired gear should be, say, at power level 10, or something equally pathetic. But I agree that you should only ever get rolls you already had, otherwise grinding for god rolls won't make much sense any more.

Link to Bungie quote or it never happened 🤔

Editado por PantoufleDePapy: 10/14/2019 10:49:48 PMi don't have a link as there's so many bungie stuff out there, but i do remember one dev saying during the forsaken reveal vidoc, that there would be ways to look into all the *insert number here* items in the game and see where you can get them, so you can just go and get them there (to where they drop from, not the collection). (something along those lines) if you don't believe me, that's your loss

I dont care if you believe me. Im not gonna look for a single quote out of the thousands there are. You can look it up
-
You can’t link it because no such link exists.

It’s because I don’t want to go and look for it because bungie makes weekly posts at the minimum and the discussion about collections was over a year ago. It’s not my fault that you don’t pay attention to what bungie states and then think something was intended to work in a way it was not. Get over yourself
