They should make more dynamic bosses like the Inverted Spire and Exodus Crash bosses. Those bosses actually switch tactics as the fight goes on, they aren't confined to one spot or small area, and they aren't afraid to get aggressive. The EC boss in particular doesn't come with that damn stomp ability either, so getting close is actually a viable option!
Some other bosses like Brakion and Bracus Zahn are also a bit dynamic, but they still have those dumb healthgates restricting them as well as that goddamn stomp.

You can pretty easily melt those bosses with prospector and heavyweight or something.
-
They'll always be easy to melt because of all of the different ways to stack damage, but that's not a problem with the strike boss in particular. If Bungie wanted to make the difficulty more reasonable, bosses should also come with more (or better) abilities that reduce the power of stacking rather than making their health bar the length of Virginia while they shoot at you. That's why I mentioned those bosses because they are at least an attempt to break that mold, even if they aren't too effective.

Yeah, I’d be fine with some wipe mechanics (that are soloable) like raids to make it more challenging. Stuff like (for example) “Kargen harnesses the power of the Vex to block the Light!”, and it turns into a final elimination round where if you die your teammates have a revive token to revive, and then it’s game over. But you could reverse it by destroying 3 Vex constructs that are scattered around the arena, and destroying them damages Kargen.
-
I'd ditch the tokens entirely. Have it so destroying a construct impairs the suppression field briefly and allows a teammate to be revived in that period, but being too slow or them dying before another construct is destroyed means they'll have to wait longer. Still provides a challenge either way. Would definitely make for more interesting nightfall challenges too.
-
Ooh that sounds cool. Maybe they could come up with new mechanics for all the Vex themes strikes once the raid is completed.
-
Agreed. Nightfalls should be challenging even with 3 decent players, so making them a bit raid-like wouldn't hurt so long as Bungie doesn't go overboard. Maybe I'll make a topic surrounding that.

I’d bump immediately. Honestly, try posting it on reddit. It’s an awesome idea.

Not a fan of Reddit, but I'll consider it. I've got a few ideas in mind but I'm going to brood over them for a bit so they still seems reasonable.
