As you said Bungie probably won't reply. Just read these Articles about Banning Policies and Third-party Applications, where you can read which applications are allowed and which are not.
Or in easy words: Any application or hardware, that could modify game files or grant you an unfair advantage, will get you flagged. What happens after the flag is only up to the Bungie SRT Team.

Agreed, but even after reviewing this, the only other application that I have installed and have not even run in months would be FRAPS.
-
Why do you have teamviewer active while playing?
-
Hey there, I used TeamViewer during school to work on projects with friends and transfer files between my laptop and desktop since I take my laptop to class. It's not active while I play, but it is just a startup program, so it runs, although it doesn't actually do anything. I never thought anything of it or actively used it in a couple months.

What did your recently banned “friend” do to get banned?
-
Not my friend, my brother. He was banned for logging into other people's accounts and deleting characters or items, something like that. Pretty fishy, not sure who was giving him their credentials and not sure why he did it. He does not have my credentials, but I believe he was only trying to see if he could log into his account to see if there was any change or if he could access his account from a different computer.
-
He could have likely used some sort of program to brute force access your account. Which likely could have caused your ban. Maybe you should talk to him as to why your account is banned.
-
He believes it is due to him logging into on my computer. There is no password on my computer if that is what you were referring to, so getting in, opening the blizzard app, signing me out, and logging in with his account should have been no problem.
-
If that’s the case which I will reiterate then it’s your friend who got your banned...
-
Well in that case, wouldn't my account being banned be unreasonable then? I would think so :(
-
It’s not actually. If someone gets on your pc that was flagged as a cheater and your account exists on the same system you get what’s called a dragnet ban. In this case the cheater as well as anyone around him gets pulled into the ban. I’ve seen this happen to a few people who paid for carries in pvp. In this case your friend logging into his already suspicious account on your of likely logged the account code which is tied to the same address on your pc or something like that. I still don’t understand why you would let a friend who was deleting other players accounts even on to your pc. Players like him were likely flagged regardless of what pc they are on and shut down immediately. I will reiterate again, this is the likely cause of your ban and your scummy friend caused your ban.

Editado por LoneWolf: 8/22/2019 4:18:19 AMYea - this is definately tough to deal with. The problem is that I had no idea about his ban until I got banned, so there was literally nothing I could have done to prevent this (aside from having a password on my computer), but I never had any trust issues, so I always left my computer if anyone needed to use it. Also, although my brother was banned for valid reasons, it was not related to cheating. It is just unfortunate that I literally just decided to come back to this game after 3 years only to be shut down a few days in and buying Forsaken. Either way, I don't think it was anything malicious, as he was just trying to log in, but he should have known nothing would have changed across systems. What I really need to figure out is how I can safely play now... Like I said, no problem making a new account and purchasing the content again, but how can I be sure I just won't be shut down again. This is my only PC, so it's not like I can get a new computer.

If you are truest concerned about your system you could do a system wipe and just install the stuff we know is safe or just run what we know is safe.
-
Editado por LoneWolf: 8/22/2019 9:03:37 PMFor sure and I have taken this precaution, but I'm still unsure about at the moment. If only I could just get a thorough answer from Bungie :(
-
Nope. Your account...your responsibility
-
Not sure if you read it right, and no offense, but just to be clear... my brother logged onto his account. There was no activity on my account whatsoever until after I came home and logged back in to play like normal.
-
If he wasn’t on your account, then it wouldn’t affect your account. Unless he installed an ahk/aimbot/cheat/etc & had it running while your account then logged into D2. Your brother sounds like an a$$ to be honest.
-
Editado por LoneWolf: 8/22/2019 2:03:00 AMIndeed, what he did was not right, but he was not banned for cheating. For this reason, I highly doubt he would log into my account just to install something that would get me banned. And I would've hoped if it was that simple, Bungie could've let me know that that was the reason. Edit: I made a mistake in my own reply. To re-iterate he did not log into my account, he logged into his own.

Editado por DeepWarmDust: 8/22/2019 1:52:44 AMIt's likely this actually. Terms for most games forbid you from having multiple same platform accounts. A ban could most definitely trigger from seeing two accounts logging in within a relatively short time from the same I'm. A ban could also trigger from another account logging into a system one was banned on recently.

Editado por LoneWolf: 8/22/2019 2:06:24 AMThis is our suspicion, and this is not my case, but what if you had multiple people in the same household playing on the same device. That is how my brother* used to play back in D1 on the same PS4. *Edit: My brother and I I didn't continue the journey on D2 till now. It's just unfortunate that he happened to be banned and came to visit me, and tried to sign in on my computer. I just wish Bungie could take a look :(
