Banned last week - hoping to find out why!!

Good Morning @BNGSecurity, I was recently banned, but I am just unsure as to what the reasoning was. Today, I am still trying to figure out if it is safe to play on my computer. To my fellow Guardians: I do not endorse cheating in any way and have never had any type of related program installed on my computer. I have played many other FPS before logging over 1200 hours in games like CS:GO and OW combined. Yes, I have read through the COC & TOS. Yes, I know what can get you banned. Yes, I know the difference between a restriction and a ban. Yes, I know Bungie does not have to appeal or even look at my post. But, I wouldn't be chasing this, if I feel I hadn't done anything wrong. I want to play the game!! The two main suspicions that would have led to my ban were: Use of profanity in the game Another recently banned player who is related to myself logging into my computer and starting the game which may have been flagged. Programs that are usually running... Epic Games Launcher f.lux (a diplay color temperature program) Teamviewer (a collaborative software that I use in school) Hamachi (a VPN that I used when I playe Risk of Rain on steam to connect with friends- it is not active, but I never uninstalled it) iCue (Corsair gaming software) Logitech Gaming Software (for the mouse I currently use) Mouse without Borders (I don't currently use this as I no longer have my laptop with me, but it's used to allow one mouse to control multiple computers over wifi) In addition, Steam, Discord, the Blizzard App itself and Chrome would normally be open as well. Bungie, I would really like to play this game, even if it means restarting my journey and re-purchasing the game, but the fact that I wa restricted and banned within a short time-span after my brother logged in on my computer makes me doubt whether or not I will simply be banned again starting on another account. If you could please confirm the nature of the ban (account, device or IP), and perhaps ensure that my account was rightfully banned, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

  • They confirmed it with their srt team already. Once in awhile they will reach out to a thread for clarification... Since yours is over a week, there's a good chance they aren't going to reach out now

As you said Bungie probably won't reply. Just read these Articles about Banning Policies and Third-party Applications, where you can read which applications are allowed and which are not. Or in easy words: Any application or hardware, that could modify game files or grant you an unfair advantage, will get you flagged. What happens after the flag is only up to the Bungie SRT Team.
