Gambit catch up is stupid. Ranked #1 in gambit on all consoles and usually it’s a massacre on my teams end. And the catch up sometimes is Fn ridiculous. Prime especially, getting your prime while other team has 10 notes then all of a sudden the middle is swarmed with OP captains, and then invades everyb10 seconds it seems at times lol. We don’t struggle but I run stacked so invader gets melted, but not every team is like it. If you summon a prime while a team has 10 notes there is no way they should catch up or start with ANY slayer buffs

your philosophy basically just means the game should auto end if you summon and the other team has barely any motes if it doesn't auto end, your idea is just super uncompelling gameplay for other players and this dead game mode will just get emptier

??? Its just you not timing your damage phases and actually saving heavy ammo for boss dps after the 2nd dps phase. Likely because most invaders like waisting thier heavies instead of sharing it with thier teammates.

I’m not saying I’m having issues just look at my normal gambit history. I leave heavy for the pve guys. There’s nothing wrong with my strats except the fact that catchup is busted. We still win comfortably but it should be a massacre and teams still sometimes call a prime evil. It just happens nothing you can do about it

If they catch up, and you're killing the invader, then your teammates SUCK at DPS

No, its the fact your teammates are just bad at DPSing down the boss. I play on PC and its WAAAAY different than console after playing gambit for a few weeks on console. PC primevils die during 2nd or 3rd damage phase consistantly. Console? Most of the time it takes them till nearly time sometimes to kill the boss. Its because people don't know how to DPS down a boss. Consistantly on PC the first team to boss 90% of the time wins. Rarely does the other team win if it isn't really close.

I've never had a prime take till almost the end of the timer to kill and I'm on console

I've had a few games recently go to time and win on damage dealt. It's currently full of morons who don't play gambit

I was just stating my experience when I said ive never had a game take till almost time or even like you said take until it expires and win by damage.. Thats like leaving a fight up to the judges in ufc or boxing lol out of the games I played last night .. this is regular gambit.. Every game I had the most of 2nd most kills most deposits and the most or 2nd most guardian kills with motes lost only in 2 games and those games they were 5 or less from protecting a teammate with 10 or more .. Guess how many I won out of 10 games.. 4

I had 3 games where that happened... and I was using really bad weapons and had the highest damage on my team. Its not often but I can definately say it does happen occasionally and there is difference of kill times on PC and console for primes. Average on PC is probably 3 phases. Console usually 4+. Then again console take longer to fill up banks as well and for invaders to kill players. PC, they see you your dead to a sniper MG instantly from across the map.

Yeah, this. Regular Gambit catchup is fine. The Prime one needs work. Taking away the ability to invade the team that doesn't have their Primeval and increasing the amount they can invade is just frustrating. It makes it less a catch-up mechanic and more a completely valid strategy. I mean sure, that might have been exactly what they were going for, but it drags out matches to painful levels and wasn't that a huge reason they made Gambit Prime in the first place? To make quicker matches?
