Gambit catch up mechanics
I love being penalized for winning the first round of a gambit match.
I also love being penalized for summoning the prime evil first
Oh and I totally love being invaded every 20 seconds.

D2 is BS right now. I don’t know with what confidence they’re going to release shadowkeep, but if we don’t see any balance it’s much likely over. I love playing Gambit, but they brought new blockers for what ever reason, brought mods like resistance or if you kill enemies with a granate you‘ll get heavy ammo [b][i](only available in Raids)[/i][/b], to many heavy ammo, Truth (only used in Gambit), better overshield?! (prime), unbalanced or useless armor sets (prime), enemie snipers (for example hives) flinch you all the time from the other side of the map making it impossible for you to hit the invader, invader has wallhacks/overshield(/spawns random in prime) and more... It’s not just Gambit in Crucible it has also many problems. the last two days I‘ve been playing anthem. I hope for Bungie they’ll make everything right in shadowkeep. If not... I just want to say: Anthem will catch up soon...

1 RespuestaJust lost a match because someone got kicked in the second round, and game refused to add a 4th for the entire 2nd round and for most of the sudden death. Someone left other team in first round and was replaced in less than 10 seconds. Is that more catch up mechanics, or just usual stupid Bungie logic?

1 RespuestaThis also sucks when you are on the losing side being stomped. Don't prolong the beating by handing the losing team round 2 on a silver platter. It's not making the match anymore exciting for anyone.

I only play gambit when I have a milestone etc, also got Malfeasance. Delirium and Hush. But honestly it feels I run into more tryhards in gambit than crucible. Full teams emoting acting like douchebags, invading with heavy and insta melting primevals lol. As for invading, once I played qp against a guy with 600+ army of one medals and he rage quit. Propably because there was no heavy, wall hacks and overshield 24/7. I rarely ever invade because imo it's just waste of time prolonging a match where winning or losing means nothing in the end.

14 RespuestasThe whole catchup thing isn’t great tbh. Just make it an even playing field, at least then you’d know you’ve lost because you weren’t good enough.

3 RespuestasI think gambit should have a set number of invasions. In normal gambit each team gets 3 invasions the first 2 rounds then the final round is 2 invasions. It would make invading more strategic. Also invading should be high risk high reward. The pvp side of gambit is way more crucial than the pve side. Or just make gambit without invasions. A race of who can kill ads and dps the fastest.

6 RespuestasWhat Gambit should be... The first round of [u]Regular Gambit[/u] is a winner takes all match and it goes quickly. That’s how it should’ve been from the start. Either that OR The same 2-3 rounds like we have now [u]EXCEPT[/u] no invasions, period. Just a race to see who can kill faster.

19 RespuestasGambit catch up is stupid. Ranked #1 in gambit on all consoles and usually it’s a massacre on my teams end. And the catch up sometimes is Fn ridiculous. Prime especially, getting your prime while other team has 10 notes then all of a sudden the middle is swarmed with OP captains, and then invades everyb10 seconds it seems at times lol. We don’t struggle but I run stacked so invader gets melted, but not every team is like it. If you summon a prime while a team has 10 notes there is no way they should catch up or start with ANY slayer buffs

I can't help that. I just wanted to finish. 2nd round, we end up with 3-4 medium to large blockers on our bank from about 30 seconds in, until we finish. I'm calling B.S.. these guys did not bank that many motes. I'll bet you anything they didn't even bank 50 all round. But somehow we had at minimum, 40 motes worth of blockers spawning nonstop on our bank the entire round. That, is catch up mechanics, 100% guaranteed.

Gambit prime needs a better mechanic for getting invasions, they should actually have to take out a HVT or Emissary and the wallhack for invaders needs to last just a few seconds then goes away. heavy should be earned by killing a high value target or emissary and only given to the person who actually killed the HVT no other way.
