Same here.
No irl friends that dig the books I read nor the games I play.
They look at me like “aren’t you too old to play video games?”

My parents and grandparents think gaming is only for non-adults too. But this attitude is gonna die out. Nowadays old people didn't grow up with videogames, it's weird to them and they don't care about it. In 50 years we are the old people and we did grow up with gaming! When I'm 80 or 90 I'm hopefully playing games with some sort of Star Trek holodeck technology.

I’m old enough to have a husband and 2 teenagers. And I hate that it seems to be ok for adults to binge Netflix until falling asleep on the couch, but then they look at me as if I were dumb for playing video games. Games are interactive, social, and much more fun than plain TV And people that disregard sci-fi books in general just because they are sci-fi have no idea what they are talking about.

Right? We already have a thriving community of gamers that range from, say, 8 to 70. Yet people still persist in telling us that games are for the youngsters. Weird!

I just played Minecraft for the first time with my best friend from 4th grade. I’m a 25yo dude. It was one of the most fun gaming experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life. Nothing else in life compares to feelings like that. All from gaming.

I hate to say it but games have lost their luster. Maybe cause I'm 36 but I just don't like anything coming out. Well....except Hollow Knight. That looks very interesting.
