Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, autofire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific
Bungie does not discuss restrictions or bans.
Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason.
There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans.
Bans are lifetime for that account

I don't think you get it. I do not run software in the background aside from basic functional software that runs my pc. This is not right

This softwear can get you banned bcs the existence of a chance is enough for a ban And this chance can come from nearly everything
I don't think you get it. I do not run software in the background aside from basic functional software that runs my pc. This is not right
Sorry to say it but bungie's anticheat system identified something either on your pc or in your gameplay that caused it to flag your account for review, bungie staff then performed a double check and confirmed the reason for the flag did violate the terms and then they manually placed the ban.

I really hope it's not because I actually got good at pvp. That someone picked it up as me cheating. A reason would help

that would be a misconception on a couple points. Bans do not require anything to do with pvp. They do not require cheating or attempted cheating in the game itself. Running an app for another game or one that just meets the restricted software criteria at the same time as d2 can cause it. Apps that I have seen linked to bans are stuff like borderlands commander, artmoney, cheatengine and even reshade.

I use nothing like that, this is what im saying and i really only play pvp these days.

Unfortunately, bungie found something.

It would be nice to know what and at the very least that is a seriously messed up policy.

they do not discuss the reasons as it can give cheat devs info they can use to get around anticheat.
