Bungie Ban Hammer

Bungie Why? what exactly have I done wrong? I have never cheated, never used macros, I have a great connection, never run any software in the background that conflicts with your code of conduct, I have never had a suspension or even a warning. I log in today to find my account banned and looking through your Ts&Cs you wont even reassess? This is quite frankly disgusting. I have been a long standing beta D1 player and this is the contempt with which you treat me? The least you could do is give me a reason, which is clearly going to be wrong. I have probably clocked up over 2000hrs in Destiny and I have stuck with you through thick and thin and yet you abandon me without even a whisper. You have failed me and quite possibly a lot of your other loyal player base. Well Done Niceoneshane

  • This player has been cheesing in competitive just keeps matching another team and having one back out for free wins. I looked it on Destinytracker and then he disabled his history through bungie.net so I can't post that on here. But I imagine that admins have access to his game history. When I looked at his history he had around 40ish games where he had done this. I feel like this needs to be put in check because they are exploiting the system for higher ranks and pinnacle weapons. I don't think this is how bungie intended the system to work and people doing this should have some kid of punishment either rolling back ranks and rewards from the start to end of the exploit or something. This players game history needs looked at on pc. BobbyRicotta#1167

  • It could also be a full fireteam you went against that was salty and they all reported you in unison or something.

  • Bungie, I really think you owe people a courtesy email to explain what's happened. It's not like there isn't any evidence that you have made mistakes in the past. Your policy is unjust and I am very surprised it's not illegal.

To be very honest with you even when it hurts ( which i understand) Bungie don’t care about this I'm also experiencing the same thing that you are, and in my experience ,every thing you get here are links to the eula and policy followed by Troll posts along with posts that say how great bungie is and that they never ever in eternity make mistake And rarely some who really try to help you And bcs its in the policy and eula they can do what they want ( i just say south park apple episode For a comedic example of this ) You will never got Anny official answer here. It's their policy to ignore ban posts on the help forum bcs their policy states that there is no way to appeal the ban or discuss it the employes cant help you even when they want. i would never ask one to risk theyre jobs for this I think some of these bans are unwarranted. But some are truly rightfull And you don’t have to activily cheat to get banned the existence of something that could eventually in rare circumstances maybe could do something with D2 is probably enough to get you banned. For example, an ambient light software that behave and seems like an aimbot might get you banned, as it probably did in my case. If the employee tasked with assessing these flags doesn't research these processes, they might assume that you are cheating and they will ban you. We can not blame them for that, they only do their work and are only human the lack of comunication is what bothers me on this cases bcs if this would be made the right way it could help improving the Anti-Cheat in the future and will prevent from ´´missinterpretations´´ ( excample above) in the future keeping good players in Destiny so it can be there for a while i wish for it I'm telling you all of this to help you understand your situation. I don't want to be mean. If you believe Bungie has mistakenly banned you, tweet at them and ask them to review their process and the recent account bans politely. We need to bring light to the fact that this isn't just a case of a hacker being caught and then airing their displeasure in a public forum.i done this mistake and i trying to corect this so dont be like me be better. PS: sry for the copy and paste posting but i think i cannot formulate this better without beeing mean ( or banned again ;P ) and i even needed help for this one

      • Typically, pc bans are due to software detected by Destiny 2 while running. These include but not limited to, trainers, aimbots, autofire, mods, graphics hacks, anything that injects code into games, debuggers for programing, even some viruses. any of these could cause a ban, even if not destiny 2 specific Bungie does not discuss restrictions or bans. Restrictions are temporary, and will not be overturned or undone before they expire. Once an account is banned however, that ban is permanent. Account restrictions and bans are only done in extreme cases; if actions were taken against your account, then it was with reason. There are NO options to dispute or overturn account restrictions or bans. Bans are lifetime for that account https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929
