Man I hope Mara or the Awoken are NOT the darkness. Or the final boss of all Destiny. That would be lame.
I want the darkness to be a different species or entity altogether.

<Oh, they are not likely to be with them. The way Mara spoke about destroying the Traveler reminds me of one of my theories for Warmind's story when it was first title-dropped. I thought Rasputin would know the Deep was coming and, to prevent the destruction of humanity, would fire upon the Traveler with everything he had to prevent ITs arrival. Perhaps Mara Sov thinks the same? Of course our alliance is too important, however. There is another subsection of humanity that can be a part of the Armada, but the Awoken are not one of them.>

Mara and Rasp need not worry if they are concerned about the darkness. One way or another we're gonna destroy it. Cause we're player guardians. Lore might dictate we are weak and fragile but gameplay dictates we steamroll our enemies. And when push comes to shove gameplay wins over lore.

<Not before IT destroys Rasputin I'm sure. Rasputin is fecking useless against it.>
-
Well Rasputin did say he now found the way to be victorious. We'll see if he was just boasting or if he has a trick up his... warsats.
-
<What's he going to do? Throw a stick at it? The Valkyrie is ungodly weak compared to his former arsenal... that arsenal which he blew on trying to kill the Deep.>
-
He's gonna kick the darkness in the groin. That renders everything useless.
