Shotguns are where they were in the sandbox at the end of Destiny 1. You've simply let your skills at dealing with them erode. I never stopped playing Destiny, and it took me about a week to dust them off and get used (again) to their presence in the Crucible. ..and that process will go easier if you accept that shotgun play is a legitimate skill...and defending against them is a legitimate skill. They arent' broken, automatic-win buttons. You just have to understand how they work and how they are used in this game.....and practice the skill necessary to counter their use.
