I agree. This “powerful rewards tiers” are bullshit imo. Like I get people thought the Y1 grind was to easy, but FFS at least go off the highest level equipment on that slot. Getting 520 stuff because my other stuff in the vault is bringing my average down is super crappy.

It’s not an average it counts what is your highest possible power following exotic equip rules then uses that number not an average of all your banked items. It was detailed at the beginning of year one when people realized they couldn’t stack three of a class and hit max power faster.

At launch, that’s how it worked. With Forsaken, it went back to being an average of what gear that character can equip across your inventories and your vault. That’s why some powerful engrams can give you lower gear than your most powerful piece.

Where did it say that? I’ve read pretty much all the patch notes for forsaken add don’t remember that change. From my exp it seems like my powerful gear drop +1 my PL at least. But when I did the nightfall it was +5. But if you find it can you link it for me. Please and thank you.
