It's not "powerful" if it's not better than my old gear. I'm getting real tired of this garbage bungie. Some of the employees with these ideas need to get smacked on the back of the head, it's super mediocre to have someone grind endlessly for a "Powerful Gear" and get a downgrade. Reminds me of the months of my life that have beeen wasted on D1 and I refuse to waste my life on D2 when you guys are slowly going back to your old ways.

2 RespuestasIt is always an increase. Based on your main power level. Normal powerfull gear always drops at 1 level above your main light level... It is not based on the slot it goes in.
-
Please no more edge transits after a challenging solo
-
2 RespuestasAccording to people who get lucky we are just doing powerful engrams wrong. That's why my powerful engrams are the same power I'm at now. Duh, I just didn't do them right
-
3 RespuestasEspecially when that powerful gear turns out to be 4 sidearms in a row. Man... whoever put sidearms in this game has made an enemy for life in me.
-
2 RespuestasPersonally, i'm about to lose it if I get another Energy weapon from a Prime or a Powerful reward. Any other slot, and my character gets an upgrade. BUT NO. I've had at this at least 4 times. in the last 2 days. I swear the drops are weighted towards what is already your highest slot.
-
i think power engrams and exotic should be a guaranteed plus 10 to your light so a 520 helmet will drop if you have a 510 helmet equipped and other legendarily engrams from drops or vendors should be a 5 to 10 plus to your power
-
6 RespuestasPowerful Gear and Prime Engrams are always higher light(+1 to +5) than your characters current light level. They are not guaranteed to be higher than individual equipment. For example your characters light level is 530. You have a Kinetic weapon that is 540, but most of your other gear is in the 520's. If you receive a Powerful/Prime Engram for a Kinetic slot the highest it will ever be is 535, most Powerful gear will only be +1 at this point so would likely only be 531. I would imagine this mechanism is put in to slow the light progression and is nothing new to Destiny.

2 RespuestasI agree they are pretty much useless. I usually get around 2-4 hours a day, to play which is fine but when I spend that time grinding out a powerful engram only to find it's, either a lower level that the item it has given me such as a pair of boots being 510 when I have 518 boots equipped is just pathetic. The other issue is last week, all my powerful engrams on all 3 characters were all the same, all gauntlets with 1 or 2 weapons. Not to mention it showing the ability to earn a powerful engram for doing something, and you do it only to get a 500 power level item, which was supposed to have been fixed but it's not.
-
1 RespuestaYup. The really crazy thing is, you need to write your post at all. This is one of those things that's not accidental. If a thing in a computer has certain traits, it's usually the same for each of those things. That's good programming. When one of them does what it's not supposed to do, bungie does 1 of 2 things, based on the question "Does it benefit players?" Yes? Fix it asap. No? Get to it when / if we feel like it.
-
2 RespuestasIt will most likely be fixed tomorrow. After thinking on it I have a bit of a hunch. They throttled our progressionand everything so not everyone could beat the raid before reset. Anybody who isn't bungies favorite streamers and such that is. And the reason for that I think is because of the jacket they offer anyone who beat the raid before this coming reset. They only meant for their streamers to get that jacket and of course parade around with it
-
Most powerfull gear is a +1 or +2 to your max light level. It is not based on equipment slots.
-
While i had to problem with Prime Engrams so far, the powerful gear rewards is a different story, lost count to how many of those were below my power lvl at the time i completed the activity and redeemed the gear, latest example, i was 533 when i completed Petra weakly got a pair of boots at 522, my equipped boots at the time were (and still are) 534
-
9 RespuestasTranslation: this expansion does not reward our time. Look, I love Destiny. However, if I am going to mindlessly farm the same crap (i.e., Blind Well) every week then the powerful gear had better be better than my average light level. I got 6 drops yesterday on my Alt. My LL is 522. All of these drops were 506 or below. Why? Just why? Artificially slowing down the gear upgrade treadmill makes me just wanna get off.
-
3 RespuestasTotally agree the whole powerful engram system is broken! I have had 3-4 powerful engrams that are supposed to give good loot give me 500 level gear both last week and this week! I’m not a ‘streamer’ so cannot play for endless hours. This needs fixing NOW Bungie or player drop off will be worse than before guaranteed!
-
Drops can be garbo right now. Like that streamer that got Synthoceps after beating Riven. 18 hours on that boss(just the boss stage) and he gets Synthoceps. That should be raid loot every time.
-
6 RespuestasI agree. This “powerful rewards tiers” are bullshit imo. Like I get people thought the Y1 grind was to easy, but FFS at least go off the highest level equipment on that slot. Getting 520 stuff because my other stuff in the vault is bringing my average down is super crappy.
-
Powerful gear should always give the chance of an upgrade. If RNJesus hates you and gives you three helmets in a row no way to logically all be upgrades. Also due to rolls more power isn’t always better. I’d rather have hands on as a blades hunter so I can charge my super faster over anything.
-
it is an upgrade, what is your current level, what is the level of the piece you received, what is your lowest piece in the collection, did this piece drop in the slot that you need to upgrade the most? if you have a slot that is behind the others, until you upgrade that slot, nothing else will appear to be more powerful. so infuse it and try again. You do know that there are 3 different tiers for powerful upgrades? all planetary and I believe tower rewards cap at 520. so if you are looking to benefit from those activities, let me let you in on a secret - you will only gain 1 LL per piece after you have collected your first +5 powerful gear from them and if you have already crossed the 520 threshold.
-
A bit aggressive, perhaps. But I feel the same sentiment in a much less violent form regarding upgrades not being upgrades.
-
16 RespuestasPowerful gear always drops higher than your LL. If you have one or more items above your LL, and the powerful loot drops in one of those slots it may not raise your level at all. That's RNG. Get used to it, or play something else.
-
2 RespuestasAll my stuff is mid 540 and my class item is 531, my guns drop at 543 lower then what I have, it's the class item stuffing me I think. Hopefully I get one soon, killing me.
-
3 RespuestasAnd it is always an upgrade .... So what is the problem? If you are 550 you always get at least 551 gear
-
5 RespuestasI disagree. I like that it becomes more and more difficult to level up as you progress more, with numerous soft caps in place.
-
Personally it's fine the way it is... If they add MORE powerful engrams. And more masterwork core drops.
-
8 RespuestasI just grinded for hours this morning doing my powerful gear on my third character and not one of the dropped at or above any of my weapons and armor they all dropped considerably lower. This needs fixing immediately
