I like the idea but I'm not sure about it dropping Raid Tokens. I've never completed the raid therefore I shouldn't be getting tokens to get Raid gear from Benedict. I think those should come from the raids and the raids only.
That said, making it more of a public space like they've indicated they'll be doing with the Raid space in Forsaken? Yeah, that sounds great to me. Opens up the possibility of getting together with others who want to raid without having to go outside the game to LFG etc. Not without its drawbacks, of course, but I'd give it a shot.

I’ve never completed a raid and i have raid tokens. You can’t spend them until you complete a raid.

You got raid tokens without raiding? That's interesting, any idea how? Do you have a ghost with a chance of dropping them or something like that?

Go to a raid, or raid lair and do challenges. The challenges reward tokens. I did the spire of stars challenge for making orbs of light and headshot kills.

To be honest as somone with over 100 d2 raid clears...the tokens mean absolutely nothing, ive literally never used them and have 1000's. Couldnt care less if people got them in a patrol or whatever, i wish the raid loot was better in general.

Fair enough, hopefully others would feel the same way. In any case, I like OP's basic idea and hopefully we'll be seeing something like this with Forsaken and the Dreaming City. If they could pull the same principle back to Leviathan as well that'd be cool.

IMO it would be interesting to see, tokens should be a way for non-raiders to get some raid loot, maybe not the prestige gear or anything, but the basic raid loot, im fine with (heres hoping they make prestige gear/guns again so i dont mute my own point). Normal raiders will get the gear fast anyway, and i dont see a problem with other people doing their own sort of challenging activities to work up to some raid gear. I think there should be a distinction between hardcore raiders and people doing these activities but at the same time dont lock everything out.

Well technically you've had to of completed the raid once in order to have access to benedict
