You seriously think it’s a 50/50 split?
Judging by our population size of the forums, more people want it than not.

These forums cannot be used to judge that at all. Only the most heavily invested come here, of course they're going to want more to grind for. This does not in any way represent the average player.
-
How do you know? I run into people here all the time that claim they are casual and use this forum when bored at work. This is a sample size and a valid one. Even if it was only the hardcore, disrespecting them got bungie into this mess in the first place. What would’ve been better than removing random rolls was taking out a few garbage perks. Now every weapon you get after the first one is literally useless.
-
Hey I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing about random rolls, that's not my point here. This forum is in no way valid or representative of the player base, please don't kid yourself into thinking it is.
-
Then what’s a good representation? This is called a sample size. It works he same way for tv ratings. A small population is used to gather what is popular or not. I’d rather think that listening to your core fan base is smarter than not. Case in point: D2.
-
I fully understand how samples work, but it's important to ensure your sample is representative of the whole and this forum is not. Look there's hundreds of thousands of players who log on to Destiny very infrequently, maybe a couple of times per month. Clearly they're not that invested in the game and would not be coming into the forums to discuss a game they play so infrequently.
-
Yeah and if they play that infrequently then they are literally the sample size that we SHOULD AVOID. Making this the best sample size available. The people who care about the game and franchise. Why would we want the feedback of Ken and Stacey who play once a month, never hit max and generally don’t care what the game is other than being fun to run and gun every once in a while.
-
Because they bought the game and as such their opinion is every bit as important as mine or yours.
-
No it’s not. They already bought the game and don’t care. They do not play he game regularly, but dlc or silver. Why would you want that audience being the determining factor? Look we don’t even have to argue about it because Bungie Literally did that. They took advice from the casual, fleeting players and shit on the core audience. The game is a shell of its former self. Abilities Supers Subclass customization Shaders Game modes Game size Random rolls Raid perks Armor rolls Special weapons gone Heavy machine guns missing No grimiore at all No collectibles No record books One raid per year No bounties Smaller and LESS organized vault than vanilla D1 These were all negative changes made for a quick buck. Look where we are now. Why would they want to listen to that group again? Seriously, why? CB is currently showing that they DONT want to listen to that group anymore as this whole update by fall is trying to make the game closer to D1. So if the forum goers are asking for random rolls why are you spamming the same message in everyone of the threads? Make your own thread and see how many people support you instead.
-
I hear your advice but I choose to ignore it. My point still stands and I will continue putting my reply into as many threads as I see fit. If they're asking for random rolls, I'll be reminding people that not so long ago people wanted random rolls removed. If they're asking for more powerful grenades, I'll be reminding people that not so long ago, people moaned about one hit kill stickies. If they're wanting snipers back, I'll be reminding people that not so long ago, people moaned about the sniper meta. That's how pathetic these forums are.
-
I want snipers back. Never once moaned about it. You say this isn’t a good population sample then what are you basing you arguments on? “People complained about them!”. Well why the -blam!- should we care if it’s not a reliable sample????? It’s pretty clear that you just don’t want random rolls or special weapons as that’s your preference. Then you use community voices to back your argument in one side and then dismiss it when it opposes your view...
-
And I’ll remind you that THEY LISTENED TO THOSE PEOPLE BY TAKING OUT RANDOM ROLLS AND NOW THERE IS NO LOOT TO CHASE. It was a BAD IDEA. You help the argument on who to listen to. Not the noobs. That’s it really.
-
So do they listen to the people on these forums or not? They did that, now everyone moans. Now they're doing it again, everyone will moan again. The cycle will continue.
-
Logic would dictate if people asked for something, the change was worse and now they want it to go back, you should go back. Bungie gave it the good ol college try but it didn’t work. No one knew how it would pan out but it has been for the worse. Using the information that we have from D1 AND D2, we can come to the conclusion on which is better. D1 was and it was a mistake to remove rolls even if people called for that. They are now calling for it to go back BECAUSE they were wrong. I’ve been saying this whole time that the forums were the appropriate sample. Look what they are saying now. D2 was one giant mistake, go back.
-
And I've been saying this whole time that these forums are not an appropriate sample, nor should they be listened to for their demands.
-
Then WHY are you reminding people that others once asked for them to be removed here before????
-
To make sure people realise how stupid all these constant requests for changes are.
-
So don’t change what’s not broken... Meaning D1 had it right. It should go back and stay that way then...
-
If it wasn't broken, why was this forum always so full of people moaning and making suggestions for changes?
-
Because the grass is always greener on the other side. If we’ve been to both sides and determined that the first one was better, why would we stay here?
-
Editado por tonycawley: 1/16/2018 9:31:48 PMBecause people moaned when we were over there. They'd moan again if we went back there. All they do is moan. Entitled idiots.
-
In hindsight we can see D1 is better. Go back and ignore the moans this time...
