I'm not sure what WoW is monthly, but back in my day, it was $15. That money goes to pay the developers their wages, keep their overhead current, and expand the company. You see, content doesn't magically create itself. It's created by people. Educated people. People who require paychecks. I'm not about to explain how economics works, but seeing as you don't know the difference in pay to play and pay to win, I'm tempted to.
So, HEY DARRYL! If you want new, continuing content, you have to pay money so the developers can provide for their families. Sure, a lot of the money goes into the pockets of Activision's corporate officers, but that's a global issue that affects the whole economy, not just video games.
Here's what it comes down to. You're upset over $20. If you're under 18 years old, I can get this. If you're over 18 years old, please, get a job.

You clearly are upset about the money, Darryl. Not to start a pissing match, but I've made $20 sitting here at work typing this. When somebody who makes big boy money gets f'd over, it's usually at least four figures. Please read my post so you understand why expansions cost money.

But you ARE complaining about content. Old content. Content that we all have done before, on hard mode, some of us, multiple times. Now, it's too late, and for those of us who completed the content, we'd like to still be able to do it without it being a rollfest. So, it's either we make Darryl happy and keep Vanilla Destiny 2, or the rest of us, who actually played Vanilla, can continue with the game.
