It's likely there will be larger pvp game mode(s) available. If not at launch... soon after.

Why is this likely?

Not a chance, they've already confirmed 4v4 across the board, maps are built for 4v4 so they'll NEVER add 6v6 again. Maybe rumble, but they said that's way off, if at all. The only way to make them go 6v6 is if literally no one played 4v4 and even then they'd need to build new maps.
-
Sucks that DLC's don't ever include new maps..... oh wait....
-
He said if not at launch soon after... The first 2 dlcs are already built and scheduled, I'd bet the next year's content is finished pretty much too, so if it ever is added it's absolutely miles away. All previous dlcs have added 1 or 2 new maps max. To add 6v6 they'd need to build at least 4 new 6v6 maps, n even 4 would get stale super quick, also new 4v4 maps to keep that fresh. They don't have the staff, nor the inclination to go back on their 4v4 mentality. 4v4 is a statement, they've made it clear it's their future, even adding kda instead of kdr, there's no way on god's earth we'll ever see 6v6 in destiny 2, probably never in the franchise again. They were 4v4 at heart, tried 6v6, didn't work, back to 4v4, that's it

So they have both dlc's done already, but the full game isn't even done yet. Sounds legit.

It's all built, just needs tweaking. It takes years to build stuff, not a few months. Destiny goes gold in 2 weeks, you know what gold means right? It gets sent to be put onto disc aka going gold. All previous dlcs on D1 were found on files before D1 even launched. All dlc cod maps are built before the game ships, it happens in all games. It's why people call it cut content. Truth is, they can't build stuff when the games released, because A) there's no time B) they're working on the next title , they plan years and years ahead, not a few months. I guarantee you, all PvP maps are built for the foreseeable future, and none will be big enough for 6v6, cast iron fact

You work for a video game company then, correct?
-
My brother runs an indie company, so I know how these things work.
-
Lol That's like saying my brother owns a local hamburger joint so I know exactly how McDonald's business practices work. I'm not saying there's no truth to what you're saying, but you can't compare the 2. I have faith that Bungievision recognizes people want more than just 4v4. They just aren't ready for it at launch. AND that will give something new for a DLC.

Something we can agree on ;)
