Why has crucible gone down to 4 players. That sucks if anything it should go up to 8 or more like other games, even cod has more players.

14 RespuestasSay it with me: Peer to Peer. A bandaid to hide their garbage, ancient connections that still won't even help.

COD stands for: C=Children O=Online D=Daycare

Editado por jnikoley: 7/28/2017 6:05:48 AMIf they're going to make it 4v4, then the other activities in the game need to match up with that and be compatible with a 4 man team. A crucible fireteam switching to a strike: "Sorry man, but we're going to go play a strike. We can only have three, and you're the 4th. Bye". If they kept it six, you could split up evenly into two teams to do a strike, or stay together to do a raid. Either that, or make strikes 4 players and raids 8. 4v4 is a mistake for the above reasons. It's not compatible with the other game modes. Destiny 2 may fail because of it.

You can help by not buying D2 then it will be 0v0 and by then Bungie might listen....
-
4v4 is just better, it's as simple as that. People always think more players is better but in fact it just waters down the content.
-
Been a destiny player since day one. Disappointed to see crucible reduce to 4 players. If a team stays together they will kill every player they meet. So how do you counter this, stay in a group of 4 too. Now we have only one style of play and that doesn't sound like game play with any longevity. Crucible should have moved to 8 players giving the opportunity for more tactics. Not all players are good run and gun players but are good thinking players. Maybe the new weapons with help but I can't see it making that much difference. Come on bungie ask the players what they want or even better launch an 8 player mode and don't forget players love the compete against there friends There's nothing better than killing a friend or better still a fellow clan member

My problem is going in solo and being match made with a stacked team.

Go play CoD if you want a mindless shooter with zero gun skill, quick kill times, and massive numbers of players in a match

Forced 4 v 4 is anti-freedom and anti-American at its core. Free 6 v 6! Free world!

Are you kidding me!!! It's great! So many people I have messaged in d2 saying "Nice Bubble" or "nice teamwork". I even added a few people. 6v6 is mindless. And to be perfectly honest, doesn't show true skill. Hence peoples KD differs in 3's and 6's.

3 RespuestasYou seriously mentioned COD and Destiny in the same sentence? Excuse me while a scrub the top later of filth off my skin. Not every game has more. The more you have the more chaotic it becomes. Who the hell would want D2 crucible to be anything like COD. Counter strike has 5, Destiny 1 had 6. I think having 4 is a good balance.

Ok, 1st thing THIS IS NOT COD!!!! 2nd thing I rally like the 4v4 combined with less grenades,meele,3-tap guns,.... I was in love with the PVP in the beta. The time to find a game is faster. You have better overview about the enemy, and it isnt just a mess where everyone is shooting, throwing granades...in hope to kill someone. In the first second of every game everyone one was shooting, hiding, runing around....just small tacticts. After i went too PVP in D1 and 1st what i saw was a fusion flying right into my face and i was dead without someone pulled the trigger.Few minutes after i met 3 supers. In between i couple another fusion gr. but no reall gunfight. Nowhere noone was even try to shoot someone.Just crouching,waiting....STICK.And again again again..... In the beta???If someone want to play the game he ALSO must use his gun and dont wait 25s for another grenade,meele.... Yes i agree that the charge time could be a bit faster but not fast like in the current PVP in D1.

Haha. Hahahaahaaaa!

I do miss 6v6.

2 RespuestasPersonally, I don't think all PvP game modes should be 4v4. Iron banner definitely not.
-
5 RespuestasWhy is crucible 4v4 but strikes are 3 player?! After running some crucible you fancy running a couple of strikes to chill but somebody is always gonna be left alone
-
10 RespuestasIt's likely there will be larger pvp game mode(s) available. If not at launch... soon after.

In the first, you had three man fireteams for almost every activity and then Crucible and Raids you could jump in with six-man fireteams. Now you’ve got some three player activities, some four player activities, and some six player activities. Do you worry about that fragmenting people, like those that want to hop out of a Raid and play Crucible, now they’ve got to kick two players? Are you addressing that in any way? Luke Smith: It’s a known challenge. We looked at things like PvP, and we looked at the passion of the PvP and the sandbox team. Their passion came from a place of, what can we do to make PvP as good as possible? What’s the right player count? If you look at the constraints that previously existed, things like fireteams being factors of the same size, and you say what if we got rid of those things? What if we removed those constraints? Would it let us make a better PvP game? The team answers yes and I support that too, even if it brings in some additional social friction.
TLDR: Becuase 4v4 is the bestest. Based on the beta alone, I think long term it will drive away many causal players. The small maps, get old quick. Everything feels more like trials now. The lanes in the maps are pretty predicable. I'm sure others feel different about it now, but once the shinny new maps get old I think you'll understand what I'm saying. If I decide to get D2 I doubt I'll be spending as much time in the crucible as I did in D1.
-
Their mistake is that everything is 4v4. The small team thing is fine for some people, but I'd imagine most also want some modes with larger teams. I personally hate small team tactics and find it boring. Every match ends up feeling like the last match when the team sizes are low.
-
1 RespuestaAttempt to make crucible sweaty, team-based events and reduce lag / make matchmaking quicker. To appeal to the hardcore pvp players / youtubers / streamers. Pushes away solo players and casuals
-
I enjoyed it, it was a lot of fun. I for one DIDN'T think it played faster like bungie said it was going to. I feel Iron Banner plays faster than the new 4v4. But again I didn't have an issue with it at all. Remember good players will be good no matter what, bad players will be bad no matter what. 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 and 6v6. If you're a good/great player it's irrelevant. Skill trumps luck every time.

Leaves room for dlc and to add content....
-
Bc PS4 pro can't handle it

14 RespuestasThey say it helps with lag, which makes no sense at all, there's as much chance as playing people from far away with the matchmaking.
