What I don't understand is that with your stuff gone , & more importantly my stuff gone. Plus the cabal taking over everywhere why the hell are we fighting each other. Why is PVP even in the game at this point.
Common sense would say that we should deal with the current attack from the enemy first !
Maybe i could understand it if when killing a fellow guardian we could steal their stuff. But that doesn't seem to be the case. Plus reducing our number doesn't make much sense.
But maybe the tower pvp makes sense if we have all gone there to get some left over engrams.

Pvp is meant to be practice to hone skills not as a way to steal the gear from other guardians. Unfortunately, pvp practice tactics, weapons and builds are different from pve. This means you are learning the wrong stuff. A controlled hoard mode (like PoE) or just patrol are better training for pve. Pvp should be considered a pointless waste of resources for a society that is on the brink of extinction.
-
But as the enemy is at the door and guardians are fighting each other then the only point for the sake of humanity would be to steal the gear.
-
It would be much better to just train on captured cabal or actually train with a squad of guardians in real scenarios. Whatever though, they got to have PvP in there somehow though.
-
Totally agree. But being able to pinch one item from another guardian would make more sense from a pvp point of view. But it would be so much fun
-
Crucible is for training. Revives are canon. There you go.
-
But it is desperate times, the enemy is at the door. Why would you pick up a gun and practice.
-
True. I was just addressing a few of the possible misconceptions that you seemed to have, I actually agree that it still doesn't make much sense.
-
Heh heh. Yea. I thought about that too. We must suspend our belief I guess.
-
I think they are worried about losing pvp
-
I'm pretty sure the story behind the crucible is that it is the training area and proving ground for all guardians. It's meant to be there for guardians to hone their skills before going into battle, so really, it would make more sense to make you play PvP first if PvP were going to really be put into the story, but PvP is there for replay value and people like to play against other people and not just A.I. bots.
-
So the enemy is at your door and you want to go play paintball. I have a nice table in my kitchen if you want to hide under that
-
Obviously what I was saying was going along with how the crucible fits into the game. I believe Shaxx at one point in D1 even talks about the crucible being a training ground for guardians. You asked why PvP is in the game, I told you why it was in it an how it fits in as part of the story because I am not sure if you were aware of that little tid bit of the story and how the crucible fits in. What I was saying is if you think it should have a significant role in the story or not be in the game, having you play crucible before going into battle with enemies would be a way they could incorporate it into the story. They won't do that though because they aren't going to force the crucible on people. I was just sharing information instead of complaining and saying they should remove the stuff in the game I don't like even though other people do, like you were doing. If you don't like crucible, you don't have to play it.
-
Because destiny is boring without pvp lol I guess it would be better to have after the campaign tho
-
Then maybe we should be able to steal an item from a guardian or they drop an engram during pvp that would be fun
-
Yeah that would be cool ;D
-
Guardians are the Guardians' hardest enemies to take down. Since they can resurrect, Lord Shaxx uses this as a training method while the unavailable Guardians are out fighting real enemies.
-
So you want to use all your energy fighting each other, then face the enemy in a weakened state that makes sense.......NOT
-
but dont we lose our light...best make sure we cant play crucible until we have got our powers back then.....or let us play crucible and we just die one...:):):)
-
Hehe are you mining for salt
-
always ;)
-
We're going to get it back
-
maybe we are...how do you know?

Smoke more pot you may get a sense of humour, or at least learn a joke. Smoking pot isn't really a good thing is it
