What news is it exactly that is making you assume that they are catering to more casual players in Destiny 2? I see you in comments saying you are suggesting ideas and just making a point, but what is your point when you stated [b]literally[/b] nothing to support it?

Have you not watched a single reveal?!? Bungie has said time and time again they are trying to go after the larger market, not the hardcores. IGN fireteam chat deej said the people who stuck around into the end game as a small minority and the casual players who play the campaign and then leave are the market they are targeting, which is why all their effort went into the story and simplification....

But how do those changes amount to Bungie catering to more casual players? There is absolutely no point to your post is what you're saying. You're sharing your opinion and offering no reasoning behind it. Is this your public journal where you share your feelings? Your Destiny LiveJournal? I mean, by all means use the forums however you want to. I'm just legitimately curious. Do you want to be taken seriously or do you just want attention/validation of your own opinion from random strangers on the internet?
