I love Destiny, I love it so much that I have invested hours on it. When Destiny 2 was revealed I was really hyped I got very excited but then they started announcing more and more and my hype died down a lot, I feel that they are making Destiny a very simple game for casual gamers who are going to invest 100 hours and then go to another game it feels like they are leaving us long time Destiny fans in the dust. By making the game casual/simple Bungie can target a bigger audience of players making them more money, which I understand but I would like to see some changes to favour the long time fans. This is my opinion and maybe yours too but if it isn't that is alright but don't get all upset about it.

9 Respuestas"countless hours" of 460? please tell me this is a joke... "long time fan" been playing since the taken king and you are complaining about casuals? give me a break. I've sat in orbit longer than you've played son ^_^

You have rookie numbers lol.
-
You don't make money by maintaining servers and supporting a player base. Just get em in and out and sell them shit as often as possible. Lol...

Tbh, I hated spending endless hours trying to get certain objects because of rng. Idk, that's just me.

3 RespuestasWhat news is it exactly that is making you assume that they are catering to more casual players in Destiny 2? I see you in comments saying you are suggesting ideas and just making a point, but what is your point when you stated literally nothing to support it?

3 RespuestasEditado por moobz: 7/4/2017 9:32:34 AM
I love it so much that I have invested countless hours on it
You have just about 460 hours gameplay, that's hardly considered countless. There are players who have devoted far more than you have. Anyway, i digress. I do agree with how easy the game now seems to have become. Year 1 was all about grinding for everything, from the Icebreaker or Gjallarhorn, planet materials or even raid armor that would never drop. But it kept you coming back for more. Year 2 was about having to "work" for your stuff, some of these quests felt endless. Not as grindy as Year 1 but still had some level of it which kept everyone playing a little longer. Year 3? Pretty much everything was handed to you. The progression to max level was ridiculously quick and almost felt pointless. Once you have done everything in PvE, it is pointless and boring to run anything. So instead you try and turn to PvP, and what a shit show that is! Sticky grenade are used as primaries everywhere, you get dominated unless you use a sidearms, you are pretty screwed if you don't have a decent roll on you palindrome or eyasluna. What was the real purpose of so many nerfs and buff? You cannot tell me that a middle ground on balancing couldn't be found after so many iterations/patches. I get it, it isn't easy work, I am a software developer myself and trust me i understand how difficult and grueling such tasks can be, but not when you have a team of 500 skilled developers. If the transition to D2 is going to be anything like Year 3, then the success of the game will be short lived. I have stuck around for the past 3 years but I wont mentally survive a repeat of it. The story in D2 so far looks promising and entertaining, the hype is real and hope i do not get disappointed. Any further opinion and judgment will have to wait until the game is released i guess, and not the Beta.

12 RespuestasOf course they're going to cater for their majority player base, I play Destiny a lot, but I'm not interested in the Raids in the slightest, does that make me a "casual" player; too many people on their high horses in these forums; it's just a game, not a way of life 🙄
-
1 RespuestaLol! That grimiore. You're ass bud. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
-
1 RespuestaYou don't have even a single character at 400. Please do not speak for me.
-
Frankly for me it looks like D2 is trimming away lots of gratuitous dross.
-
2 RespuestasYep, I love the grind. Sounds like they are getting rid of it. I wonder if it will be a game I can sink 1000 plus hours into.
-
Same as destiny 1 i spent 1 month on it got the ghally only for bungie to take it away i was pissed so went onto other games tomb raider dragonball XENOVERSE and so many others then dlcs and new raids came out and pulled me back in but i belive d2 is gonna be better especially with the lost sectors and new public events gonna be so much more to find and do in d2.
-
To me, they seem to be addressing the pve drought. Much more to do in patrol besides Kill this Enemy. Lost sectors, side missions, flashpoints, public events, treasure maps. In addition to our normal strikes and nightfall. How much they added remains to be seen.... but it looks like it is in the right direction. Only time will tell.

Editado por KitsuneSonow: 7/4/2017 7:00:20 PMMan, those people that have been playing MMO's, that have had set abilities on their gear since launch, for 1000's of hours played must be complete casuals. So are those people that did tons of VoG and CE raids to get weapons like Vision of Confluence, Fate Bringer, Black Hammer, Nechrochasm, and Vex Mythoclast.
-
Only 20 raid completions? Bruh..

30 RespuestasYou're worse than a filthy casual... you are the real disease. The reason casuals are so annoying... they don't know how bad they are. You're basically the textbook definition of one. Look at those stats lol

9 RespuestasEditado por Swiftlock: 7/4/2017 10:16:22 AMDisregarding the Stranger, getting rid of rumble, cutting PvP down to 4v4's with no more 6v6, and reducing PvE players to using two primaries and just one heavy or special doesn't sound very interesting.

-
You should be fine the. The game is being made for people like you. Countless hours....lol.
-
Or maybe after the initial month or so has died down and half the population has gone over to the latest COD turd they will release some more long term content! What I'm holding out hope for at least! :)
-
9 RespuestasSo like almost every other person has pointed out, you're complaining about yourself? You are a casual and bungie made the changes because of people like you You're better off deleting your post and moving along
-
1 RespuestaThis guy is so bad that when I called him out for his worse than filthy casual stats he created a clone psn username to mine and started doing group messages with it. Lmfao.... worse than any basement dweller casual
-
And you are no casual or what?
-
I have put a lot of hours into D1 and hope that D2 fixes a lot of the issues that concern me the most, such as a proper 'end-game' that will keep me interested for countless more hours and pvp that doesnt rely on ability spam. I share your diminishing 'hype' as more bombshells are dropped, but just hope that the final product is good. For that, we will have to wait.....

2 RespuestasI disagree.
