If only there was a way to TRAIN firearm owners on SAFETY. Perhaps even a COURSE that they had to take...
Nope, that would be a violation of the second amendment.
Welp..that's that.

You have people like yourself to thank for that. Demonizing guns restricts support for their safe storage.

I dont think murders and criminals care about gun safety
-
Are you trained on how to use a fire extinguisher?
-
Are you trained on how to use a fire extinguisher?
Yes? How is that related?
-
Because if people aren't trained on how to use a fire extinguisher than they shouldn't own one or ever use one no matter the case.

People could die if it is used incorrectly in a fire.

If only we could have some sort of literacy test in order to vote. Oh wait.

I'm guessing you have never made a typo before huh?

As a gun owner, I personally would rather have people taking these courses before they buy a gun. Training & safety are paramount, even if you just want to shoot at the range.
-
Gun safety is a serious issue. All of the people I know follow all the guidelines and one is looking to buy a safe. They train constantly and one even makes custom holsters. Gun accidents are heartbreaking and preventable by personal responsibility, but even I'd agree that a class on that would help a lot of the idiots who just got into shooting. My friend was at a competition and noticed all of the guys slowly backing away whenever this one guy would go up to the firing line. Turns out the guy was a noob and would turn his gun around (in the direction of the other shooters).

We aren't talking about the people YOU know. Unless you know people who partake in gun violence. We also aren't talking about gun accidents either. Did you mean to post this under someone elses repy?

When anti gun orgs use that term they lump accidents and suicides in with murders to make the number more shocking. 2/3 gun related fatalities are suicides.

Yeah I was agreeing with madmax and using an example where people do dumb things with gun. I swear I replied under his.

You know the NRA has the Eddie Eagle program that is meant for kids in schools. They've done that for years, but schools have become less receptive to it. The best way to teach gun safety is to start young.
-
My state does this for handguns. You have to take a safety class before you can buy one.
-
My state does this for handguns. You have to take a safety class before you can buy one.
That's unconstitutional they can't legally do that
-
You should be glad that people are capable of putting common sense before an outdated document.
-
-
LOL
Whats so funny? That is illegal
-
-
LOL
Not an argument gun safety is important but the Supreme Court already ruled it's not constitutional to put a barrier to buying a firearm

You literally live in a third world country
