Easy. His cabinet is full of entirely unqualified individuals, or people opposed to the job they are supposed to do. He signs documents and approves actions without fully understanding them. He placed bannon on the national security council, and the man has no position that validated his presence there. He's wholly unprofessional, as well as constantly wasting taxpayer dollars to go to his resort in Florida, so far only spending two weekends away from there. He wants to increase spending and decrease taxes, which will only increase debt more.

  • Every analysis of trumps tax plan agrees that it will greatly reduce revenue, and that's after accounting for any increase in economic activity.

  • Steve Bannon is a borderline genius. He is credited by his classmates at Harvard as being one of the top 3 intellectuals they had in the entire school. He served in the navy as a surface warfare officer in the Pacific Fleet and stateside as a special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon. He was Vice President of Goldman Sachs. Why don't you apply for that job and see if they think you're qualified? Just because he went into film making and news after that doesn't mean the man is unqualified.

  •
Steve Bannon is a borderline genius. He is credited by his classmates at Harvard as being one of the top 3 intellectuals they had in the entire school.
source?
He served in the navy as a surface warfare officer in the Pacific Fleet and stateside as a special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon.
none of those are positions that warrant being on the national security council. Being an assistant is not the same as holding the position you're assisting.
He was Vice President of Goldman Sachs. Why don't you apply for that job and see if they think you're qualified?
why does me not having a career background in finance matter? Are you incapable of a response without deflecting? Goldman Sachs has no relevance to the NSC. Also, it's insanely hypocritical of Trump to bash Hillary about her ties to goldnan Sachs and then get in bed with them himself.
]Just because he went into film making and news after that doesn't mean the man is unqualified.
right, his lack of qualifications make him unqualified. Not his news and film career.

  • Really? Treasury Secretary nominee Steve Mnuchin, National Economic Council Chairman-appointee Gary Cohn and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman nominee Jay Clayton are all top Trump appointees who held senior Goldman positions. There's a couple more in lower positions from Goldman Sachs too.

  • CLINTON was the one with deep ties to Goldman Sachs, everything from donations to mega paid speeches. She would have OWED the ppl she appointed. Trump doesn't owe these people anything. He appointed them because, just like many other high ranking Goldman employees, they are supremely capable and have tons of real world experience. These are the ppl that the politicians you hold in such high regard crawl to on their knees to beg for money because they are capable of making FAR more money than a tinshit politician can. And they can make that money because they are CAPABLE MEN. Deal. Son.

  •
CLINTON was the one with deep ties to Goldman Sachs, everything from donations to mega paid speeches.
can you prove Trump isn't tied to them? Where theres smoke there's fire.
She would have OWED the ppl she appointed. Trump doesn't owe these people anything.
proof? Source? Anything other than your own opinion?
He appointed them because, just like many other high ranking Goldman employees, they are supremely capable and have tons of real world experience.
really. So he chose Goldman Sachs executives over actual economists to be his economic advisor only because of their expertise? Bullshit.
These are the ppl that the politicians you hold in such high regard crawl to on their knees to beg for money because they are capable of making FAR more money than a tinshit politician can.
and? This has nothing to do with my point, and doesn't help your own any. It only suggests that Trump may owe something to Goldman Sachs.
And they can make that money because they are CAPABLE MEN. Deal. Son.
The amount of money you make doesn't determine how capable you are, you'll learn that when you grow up. And what does the amount t of money a person earns have to do with the topic being discussed? Nothing. You're just deflecting onto some bullshit speel.

  • You're all over the place getting mopped up here for real. You have no argument. Goldman donated massive amounts to Hillary, and in not sourcing it find it yourself it should take you 5 seconds. When you donate to a political candidate you don't do it for charity. Goldman did NOT donate to Trump. Hence Hillary would have owed them something while Trump has NO benefit to boring them that you can show me outside of believing they are capable. He has more $ than any of them he doesn't need their $. Unlike Hillary.

  • 1) bannon still doesn't belong on NSC 2) Trump needs banks for other things, like financing for his deals. It's completely reasonable to conclude that he's made some sort of deal, or some sort of agreement in exchange for Goldman Sachs getting a shit ton of people into government. 3) Hillary is irrelevant to this conversation.

  • 1) He was installed by executive order, deal with it, nobody cares. 2) Conspiracy theory. 3) Relevant because the conspiracy theory you made up in your head has Goldman working for Trump despite donating to his competitor. None of it makes sense. Wacky conspiracy theory bullshit. This was supposed to be about the capability of Steve Bannon and anyone with a brain knows the man in eminently capable.

You do realize that axlerod wasn't on the -blam!-ing NSC? My entire point is that bannon shouldn't be either. I'm not talking about his position as chief strategist to the president. I'm talking about the mother -blam!-ing national security council.

  • Bannon served in the navy as a surface warfare officer in the Pacific Fleet and stateside as a special assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon. That at least gives him credibility. Furthermore General McMaster has control of the national security council team and Trump has said if McMaster didn't want Bannon there he would be removed.
“The president made it very clear with [Gen. McMaster] and the other candidates that they had 100% control and authority over the national security committee.”
So far McMaster hasn't said he wants him removed and I would trust his opinion over yours in this matter.

  • Just being an officer doesn't make you qualified to be on the council. And wow, a released statement by the Whitehouse administration that gives "alternative facts". So glad that cleared up everything, and that there's no other dynamics at play like an executive order.
