I am looking for fact based. Logically founded criticism. On your reasoning for not supporting Trump as your President.
I disliked Obama greatly as a politician, but I wholeheartedly supported him as my president. So I find it rather distasteful how so many are now behaving.
Thanks to everyone in advance that shares.

doesn't believe in scientific fact (global warming)

4 RespuestasIt's a fact that he's an asshole. We shouldn't be spending so much on the military. We shouldn't fund and expand the depletion of natural resources. We shouldn't do away with a woman's right to choose. We shouldn't have let this happen.

25 RespuestasEditado por NatalieBee: 3/3/2017 5:27:51 PM1. Authorized a raid with too little intelligence, then blamed the failure on the military 2. Said he would protect LGBT rights, then he removed a transgender bathroom policy 3. Claims he can save billions on border control but wants to build a 25 billion dollar wall 4. Enacted a travel ban that was poorly enforced. He also didn't tell other agencies what the ban was 5. Is focusing on reviving the coal industry, which is nearly impossible 6. Wants to restrict the EPA, which will hurt the environment 7. Many members of his cabinet are unqualified for their positions 8. He is against net neutrality 9. He almost never admits he's wrong Things I like: 1. His stance on lobbying I could list more, but this is a non-emotional list Edit: Added a few more things, and a list of things I approve of

39 RespuestasPublicly denied anthropogenic climate change, made the head of the EPA someone who has sued the EPA 13 times, made the CEO of an international oil company the Secretary of State, stated plans on defunding NASA's Earth Science division... And no I'm not debating this with anyone. I don't want you to link some article from a conservative website which misrepresents or misinterprets data. Anthropogenic climate change is very real, it's a global issue, and the fact that we have a president who thinks it's made up is a -blam!-ing embarrassment. Scientific literacy is of the upmost importance in the modern world. Also, if you honesty believe that anthropogenic climate change is a false claim, congratulations, you're scientifically illiterate and you've been the victim of FAKE NEWS. Go learn basic chemistry bottom feeder.

3 RespuestasMfw question can't be answered. I feel Trump is a bad president. OP wants reason that isn't based on how I feel about Trump. RIP.

I just think his choice of the head of the education department was a stupid choice. Other than that, I have not actually looked too much into what he has done. Aye but at least he gave Black History Month a more "professional" name

he appointed Ajit Pai as head of the FCC. The man wants to end net neutrality, which is a series of rules and laws that protect consumers from big tech/internet corporations abusing the system since they have all the money to lobby and they have billions to lobby with which they do use in shady ways. the big ISPS have been caught paying off state and federal representatives' campaigns in the 10s of thousands to have them sign a ghostwritten ISP letter against net neutrality in their jusrisdiction. net neutrality helps end-user consumers and small corporations by providing cheaper, faster fiber-optic internet and breaking up internet monopolies from the big guys who are charging a ton for a shitty connection through copper wires laid in the 1930s. since the 1990s, billions in government subsidies have been taken annually by the big players to lay out a national high-speed fiber optic network yet they have failed to do so and gotten away with it. the big guys have lobbied to legalize their monopolies and block competition through multi-decade contracts in a ton of places. that is anti-capitalist/ anti-consumer and very pro-facist/pro-oligarchy.

25 RespuestasI love how many people hate DeVos. Public education is like a weird fetish for statists. Seeing the Secretary position go to somebody who disagrees with public education really pisses some of the fetishists off. I love it. Public education is an immoral and inefficient institution. The sooner it's gone, the better.

6 RespuestasI could, but that would require me to type, "why is Trump bad logically" into Google and have to skim through hundreds of articles just to prove that he is a terrible president to some random Joe on the Bungie.net #Offtopic section of the forums. No thanks.

127 RespuestasEditado por Britton: 2/28/2017 11:31:53 PMEasy. His cabinet is full of entirely unqualified individuals, or people opposed to the job they are supposed to do. He signs documents and approves actions without fully understanding them. He placed bannon on the national security council, and the man has no position that validated his presence there. He's wholly unprofessional, as well as constantly wasting taxpayer dollars to go to his resort in Florida, so far only spending two weekends away from there. He wants to increase spending and decrease taxes, which will only increase debt more.

Editado por Tosevite 187: 3/3/2017 4:13:37 AMWell mostly I think he's unqualified which is fine to an extent but he's far too impulsive and so far has no fleshed out plan for what he's doing but talks out his ass about how he's making America great again. His trade policy is honestly a joke. Anyone who thinks more managed, protectionism, nationalist, whatever you want to call it policy is beneficial for American consumers and workers is just ignorant. Yes jobs are lost to trade, but many new jobs are created along with lower consumer prices. It's obvious if you look at historical data and see no correlation between unemployment and trade agreements, larger trade deficit, etc. Iirc you actually often see unemployment drop as free trade increases (as measured by the trade openness index). If you go back to Regan era for example and look at his steel quotas they saved about 9,000 American jobs but burdened the consumers about $750,000 per job saved. Doesn't seem very efficient especially because evidence shows new jobs would have been created any way to offset any job loss. He claims the Chinese are 'currency manipulators' but I'd be willing to bet he couldn't define it. Not only because he lacks any economic knowledge but because it's pretty much a made up word we use to attack other countries we don't like. First of all couldn't China argue that the us are currency manipulators too by targeting the fed funds rate? Ya literally you could call anything currency manipulation. Then we can go even further and look at nominal exchange rates (those effected by currency manipulation) in the past decade the dollar has dropped in value compared to the yuan yet our trade deficit with China has continued to increase at a more rapid rate. Then he wants to cut taxes dramatically to the point where he basically needs to cut half of government programs in order to keep the budget from going completely off the rails. Typically I'm all for tax cuts to stimulate the economy but the rate he's cutting them is absurd and the policies mostly favor the rich and corporations. All the while he wants to create jobs through government spending and waste tons of money on the god damn wall which consumers will be paying for by his proposed 20% tariff on Mexican goods. Also I think he just increased spending on the military budget so ya don't know where this money is coming from. Then he was elected by the decent chunk of Americans who are afraid of brown people (not all Trump supporters are but you can't deny these people are among his supporters) so he had to do something after all his rants and promises in the years before the election so he has a completely stupid travel ban that literally does absolutely nothing but appease some of his voter base, make us look bad to the rest of the world, cause domestic strain among our people, and really make ISIS feel like they got a small victory. It did not make the country any safer, if I have to explain why you aren't bright enough to even argue with. It was completely pointless as he planned to get nothin accomplished during the travel ban but broadly make the vetting process more rigorous - that's more government dollars out the window on a already string and rigorous vetting system (how many refugee terrorist attacks have we had?) I could go on but I'm tired and I probably have some wrong info ^ cause it's so late. It's also highly unlikely anyone on the flood actually reads these long posts so ya. Also he's a compulsive liar with the most fragile ego I've ever seen on such a prominent figure. I just can't see this going well for making deals and foreign policy. TL;DR His trade policy is going to slow our economic growth so dramatically that it will over shadow any stimulation his tax cuts bring. His tax cuts are poorly thought out and he has no chance of maintaining a balanced budget with his proposals. Then he's going on to increase government spending in several sectors some of which are a complete waste just to appease some simple minded voters (the wall and travel ban) Obama was also pretty shitty with the cluster -blam!- mess of Obamacare for starters

1 RespuestaHe links Austism to vaccines. A stupid ass view that's been debunked for thoroughly so many times. And a view that demonises autistic people and puts the vulnerable at risk of dying or permanent disability from preventable diseases. He called climate change a Chinese hoax. The scientific consensus is that it's real and man is accelerating it. You don't see people rejecting the scientific consensus of gravity do you? Yet he rejects science on numerous subjects that with harm people around the world for years to follow. And taking away a woman's right to her body with restrictions to abortions and so on.
-
3 RespuestasMy only real criticism of him so far is that he's more of a populist than he is a conservative
-
79 RespuestasEditado por LiamCDM: 3/2/2017 3:39:24 PMMy largest criticism is his complete denial of the scientific consensus on climate change. Whether people want to admit it or not, climate change is caused by humans, and has dramatically accelerated the Earth's natural climate change process. This is a fact. It's on the same scientific level as evolution and gravity.

3 RespuestasI'm critical of his authoritarian stances on trade, his trillion dollar infrastructure bill and he seems to not want to shrink government. Same time I know he's not a conservitive he's a populist and a protectionist. I hope he does well but I don't like some of his stances
-
I don't know if he's a bad president. His story is just beginning. But I can say that I'm rooting like hell for the man. Because he's our president and his choices directly affect my family. So, yeah.. I want to see every nay-sayer cry into their blouses as Trump leads this country into the greatest 8 years in the history of this nation. I want him to go down as the greatest president of all time. Unfortunately, what I can also say is that I haven't seen anything up to this point that leads me to believe that will be the case. At all. But he's got nearly 4 more years to change my mind.

15 RespuestasPretty much brit's post I was actually going to give him a fair shake after he went in.... Then the cabinet started to trickle in.

One thing is the travel ban Overall, it was just poorly implemented/enforced The Yemen raid. First, it had little intelligence to proceed said raid. One navy seal is killed alongside civilians. Trump says although there were casualties, more than he hoped so, it was still a success. How come now he says it's a failure and blamed it on his generals (and I have heard Obama administration too?). That doesn't make any sense, honestly His judgement is questionable at best. He has done some good, true Crackdown on human trafficking (there was a big operation that jailed hundreds of adults) Speaking of Sweden (its not a war zone like some people have exaggerated, but it is definitely not a perfect country that shows multiculturalism works neither)
-
3 RespuestasLol and no leftist would be willing to give Trump credit for cracking down on child/human trafficking. 1500 arrests already in his first month. If that doesn't earn anyone's respect, they have problems with their mind and soul.

15 RespuestasEditado por joibasta: 3/1/2017 11:41:21 AMI don't support Trump as President because he did not win the peoples' vote but only the electoral vote. He does not reflect the majority of peoples' opinions as should by the voter turn out.

9 RespuestasWell A. He's a pathological liar but that's true of most presidents. I don't agree with a lot of his policy's such as the wall the immigration ban, etc C. He sounds like a complete moron when he talks.
-
He ran in my lobby
-
3 RespuestasUm CNN says so?
-
I support him, but I disagree with a few of his cabinet choices, mainly DeVos and Perry, and also disagree with Stephen Bannon. I don't agree with his wall proposition. I didn't like his travel ban, at all. Mainly due to the discriminatory reasons behind it, which are pretty evident. However, I do like his recent comments on immigration and thought they were a good compromise between republicans and democrats.

3 RespuestasTelling the media to -blam!- off, proposed tariffs and I'm jealous because he has great hair.
