Pulses: yes
Autos: Maybe. Doctrine is better but the low-RoFs are a little more reliable.
HCs: No. Last Word is the only good gun in this archetype, and it's in a bit of a special case with its exotic perk.
Scouts: No. The Mida-archetype is the exception, but a Cocytus will beat a Shadow fairly easily due to a rather sizable gap in TTK, and even can beat Mida-type guns for the same reason (although the Mida is far more forgiving when you miss a shot; this is the fatal flaw of the high-impact guns)

TLW is the main chick but I have like 3 other HCs I use

You realy think the last word is the only good one in its archetype? You must not be using those HC's then.
-
The base range of most weapons in that archetype is very bad. (I believe the Water Star is the highest Legendary, with 25 in that category) It does suffer from ghost bullets from the faster rate of fire, especially at longer ranges. The upsides (close-ranged with good TTK) are outweighed by the fact that it's not good at all at longer ranges, which is why TLW is the only gun you really see used from that archetype because it's actually good enough in close range encounters to counteract it sucking at range.

I use the archetype very effectively. Never gone below 1.8 kd using it. Kumakatok hc 4 and free will 3. Enough range to cross map shoot some1 on the dungeons map heavy hallway without dmg falloff.
-
Hey, if you do well with it, then good for you, but that doesn't make it a superior weapon. Heck, my Colovance's Duty has the same TTK at a much farther range.
-
But the HC is good for short to mid range. That scout only outclasses it at long range.
-
Of you think that archetype is any good I've got some news for you bud.

2 headshots 1 bodyshot. Very good range. No ghostbullets. 0.80 TTK . Same as clever dragon. Better than eyasluna.
