It actually is good, since there is a lot of people who are sick of games playing like movies. (little to no effort yet you beat it). Sorry but i am sick of how many games are watered down so everyone can beat it. I miss the days of hard games (dark souls is fun because you can make it insanely hard). Why do i want to sit there and beat something that 99.9% of the population can do. (sure if you need to unwind okay i see the enjoyment in that but that is what PVE is for or a hack and slash game etc.) Just like removing the halo 3 ranking system made halo reach boring (i hate that just playing the game long enough could make you a general etc)

The difficulty comes from the leagues and legit competitive play. I am not entirely disagreeing with you but trials does not replace this... again, make trials like iron banner and start forming teams and leagues to compete.

But Iron Banner is for the easy PVP gear and Trials is for the Hard PVP gear, why is this such a difficult concept, if you make trials just as easy why even have it? This community makes me laugh, This DLC was to easy only lasted 10 hours. Same people can't succeed at trials because it is to hard "make it easier" Lol. I could understand if there was no IB, but since there is another PVP avenue where you can get max light with ease (they even made the bounties super easy this time around). The only problem is they have to market Trials to better represent what it is. It is not Necessarily a competitive mode it is and it isn't. What it actually is, is a "TEST YOUR MIGHT" playlist. aka All week you can play Elimination and practice while being protected by SBMM and not know how good others out there really are. Then comes the weekend, test your might with the SBMM shackles off you might wipe the floor with some and be flat out destroyed by others.

Look man. Trials does not replace real competitive game play. It just doesn't. That requires teams, brackets, and a player base that cares. There is no elite in this game because no one cares enough to find out. If this is the case then why alienate 100k's of players with something as stupid as Trials. It makes no logical sense and don't try and make the argument there is elite without competition at this level. My point stands. Trials is just not fun for most people. It is really that simple.

did i say it was competitive no you seem to have missed the whole section where i said it was a test your might playlist, aka see where you stand against some of the better players and some of the worst players. There is plenty of 3v3 tournys where we know who the best players are. Why aren't you having fun? Because you lose some games? If thats the case you will never get better every time i lose i look at it as what could i do better, i need to do better, why get angry at a game because someone else out there is better. If that is the case we might as well all give up in life too lol.

Very few people have fun in trials man. Lol. They should open the light house with 9 wins and any number of losses. For kids who go flawless pull them out of trials and make a new bracket where they compete in teams. The only requirement is flawless from the previous week.

But i do get pissed that the grimore is locked out for everyone. I think 5 wins should get you to the first gate there is a small room when you first enter that could have a chest there for armour. and unlocks the grimore card next gate at 7 wins gets you the next room with the weapons chest, and the 9 with flawless opens the last room (all they would literally have to do is add 3 blast doors lol)

I cannot play with all of them consistently and frankly it does not matter. Making a flawless bracket aleviates many of the issues with trials. They should do this: (1) open lighthouse to anyone with 9 wins regardless of losses. (2) after a kid goes flawless in regular trials open up a new trials (flawless trials) where they play. Trials for flawless people that runs Wednesday to friday. It requires a flawless to enter from the most recent weekend. (3) teams that go flawless in this trials get added to a web page on the destiny website as the best.... name and clan recognition. The bracket runs and from Wednesday to Friday. The rankings are based on how many times a player went flawless in the flawless trials. Max of 10 flawless or the sweaty kids will start having seizures. (4) for the top players on the rankings create a bracket elimination league. Sponsored by bungie. Would be a streamers dream come true. Winners of this get there names and statues in the tower until the next tourney. Again the reward is recognition. Trials becomes a gateway to the tourneys and flawless brackets. The content is open to more players and they would be more interested in the results of the flawless bracket and tourney because of greater participation from beginning to end. No more complaints about flawless kids playing trials and going 50 - 0.

Again, matchmaking is already atrocious the more degrees of separation you have , the more limited the population becomes for matchmaking, making more red bars and more long waiting periods. Bungie doesn't want to separate clans further and separate friends even further, they want to make it that anyone can play with anyone for obvious marketing reasons, a new player to the game will stick around if his friends can play with him show them the ropes etc. Lets say you have 5 real life friends, all 5 of them want to try trials, 3 are good 2 are bad the 3 good players now want to go and be the best basically abandoning the other 2, the current system at least give the 3 good players plenty of chances to pick up the other two friends and play with them.

The flawless kids can still play regular trials. They just get the rewards once and the flawless trials would be more meaningful. If they did the plan the amount of flawless from regular trials would go up substantially as many more people would play as the rewards can be attained. You all want to be elite... well here you go. It will also substantially reduce the incentives to cheat.

So maybe you know some douche bags, but what your proposing would be even worse then "the must have gjally era". people would be super strict with who they would play with off of LFG etc. The account recoveries would be even more rampant then they are now.

The clan I was in split up but frankly who cares because clans are meaningless in this game anyways. I used to really try in trials in year 1 and got to the lighthouse several times but got tired of the disconnects and loss on card. I am horrible at trials but this does not matter. None of you are really getting the point..... People would not be strict. It would have the opposite effect. Most people just want to chill and play the space game for fun and the rewards. LOL. Let the sweaties play in a bracket for them. Everyone else will get there nine wins, get to the lighthouse, and then go run strikes. Chill.... have fun... relax.... It may take 30 losses to get those 9 wins but I promise you people will be happier than current system.

Then you problem is with a clan full of douches. And creating more tiers that go further and further the more flawless you are would make people more strict since they would want to win those etc. Meaning people would only want to play with people that have the exact same "skill" level. But like i have said before PVP already has its easy mode, that is IB if you make Trials easy mode why even have it?? like why wouldn't we just kibosh both IB and Trials and just have the gear drop in crucible since that is what the modes would become just regular crucible.

Then play Cod and halo. I am fine with games creating new ways to play, i encourage this. It how new things develop. If you want it to play like Cod or Halo where you just sink in time and don't have to get any better play Cod and Halo, don't demand that another game become a generic clone. And yes that clan is a bunch of douches if they can't help the rest of their clan or hide offline because they don't have the stones to either say no i don't want to play with you or trials is not my thing. lol

I have a better solution to playing CoD. How about Destiny change Trials. Trials does not work in that only a few actually play it. It has rampant cheating. Most people do not bother to play it. It creates problems due to rewards being gated like this.. I like new ideas and Destiny Trials, my friend, does not work. They need to change it. Also, if kids want to be elite then get some balls and start a tourney to play each other.

They do have tourneys, and trials doesn't work for you so you want it to change, if you don't like it don't play it. As for cheating please gets some stats i have over 6000 games and have been ddos'd maybe once and may 5 or 10 games of kids messing with their upload speed to try and teleport around the map. Other than that there was some red bar which happens. I suck at fighting games, have trouble unlocking all of the characters, i dont stamp my feet and demand it be easier, i accept the fact i am not good at fighting games and play and still enjoy them. Go online get wrecked can't get all the achievements oh well i am not as good as others. You seem very bitter towards a game type that you literally don't even have to play. I haven't even completed the new raid because i don't enjoy it, do i complain that its not for me, no i just play the parts of the game i enjoy lol. OMG 2% of the game is geared towards me , everyone freak out!.I will never get the weapons because i don't enjoy raiding etc. you don''t enjoy trials so you won't get the weapons big deal.

Benefit how? i help people for free when i have a chance, no subs no donations no following required? where is my benefit? I work 9-5 all week and then on my weekends i enjoy meeting new people and helping them out , i used to do a list but that turned bad because people would literally threaten me if i skipped over them because they were not online. So i stream instead to pull the next person, instead of doing list cause if anyone is being a lil shit or threatening i boot them from the stream and help someone else again for free. And so we should banned Raids to? many people stream raids so they should be changed because people stream them and benefit from it right? Difference between people i have helped and you is they continually try and improve, not play the blame game that it is just to hard. Many people have learned from me and gone on to drastically improve to the point they have made their own fireteams that go flawless every weekend. I have people that were .4kds and now are up to 1.0's and have made it flawless on their own. I could just as easily not help, and do game battles, be just as popular (but quite frankly could give two shits about that ) I also randomly hop onto lfg and help people i see that seem to be struggling. Dont worry though i am rolling in all the benefits from this.... oh wait i am not lol.

I also believe it can be implemented better so I am making my case on the forums. The mechanism to determine the best should not have content gated. Recognition is enough and to many people have been disenfranchised by Trials. Get more people playing. Make the rewards more attainable. Make it fun.... I am not bitter at all. When I see something stupid I call it out. Destin could have been a great game. Pvp is what prevented this from occurring and Trials just made it worse. Like rubbing salt on an open wound. They need to make lighthouse accessible with 9 wins and losses have no impact. I promise you the number of players in Trials would increase 10x. People would look forward to it. Rather than being a black mark on the game it could be a reason to play. Think about the 98% of player base.

860,000 first weekend 800,000 second weekend since year 3 started. much more than 2% of the player base (which is around 2 million if we are lucky a lot of people have just stopped playing so you cannot go by install base ). If you don't enjoy 2% of the game don't play that part its pretty simple. I don't enjoy the raid so i don't play it, you don't like trials dont play it. There is 860,000 who currently play or it you make it as easy as iron banner one everyone get the gear no one will play it so what it last for 4 weekends lol. Basically i see your argument boiling down its stupid because you cannot do it and do not enjoy it, so it should just be removed from the game or changed, again this is why we have shitty games that take no effort to complete.

I mean even my buddies who go flawless do it for the rewards and generally hate it. LOL.... that is not good game design Again, gating content behind Trials is a mistake and has been since year 1. It is time for Bungie to own up to it and fix it going forward. It is the premise and I would feel the same way about anything whether I was good at it or not. What metric should be used to determine a successful game type? Enjoyment? Participation? Trials fails in these categories. Destiny is a space game, dude. Treat like a game.

If you want to go off of Participation we should probably redo the raids too because a lot of people don't complete them either. I am treating it like a game, that is why i play for fun and if i don't like a part of it i don't stamp my feet. I just do the grown up thing and don't go into that activity. WHAT AN IDEA!
