Trials Complaints
I've been seeing a lot posts lately saying "lighthouse should be easier to get to!" or "Make all the elitist face other elitists in trials!" etc. Well the lighthouse and trials was made for those crucible enthusiasts to challenge themselves while having fun at the same time. It suppose to be hard to get 9 wins it's not suppose to be a walk in the park like a raid. You may be asking "well all those elitist scum are facing me a casual!" well there is a simple solution to that. Practice in crucible, there is a reason why elimination is a thing still. Its to practice for trials! You can't expect everything to be given to you willy nilly you have to try and practice. "oh but i don't have time because i have an actual life!" well good for you having a life and all, but dedicate those free hours you have to practice in crucible. How do you think all these trials elitist became you know trials elitist they practiced in crucible. Ok i hope this message can make you guys understand that trials is meant to be hard.
Ok end of Rant i'm expecting a lot of hate on this (fine by me) just a message to you "casuals" :)

Trials is all about $$ these days !! with the streamers and carry services people are providing " Just for Trials " , not to mention the lag switching and shitty connection players people face in their final game. This is sucking the population out of the game and the fun factor is lost somewhere. This is coming from a not so Casual Player (1.75 kd and over 5.5k pvp games) oh and hate to say this but looking at your stats , you don`t sound like an " ELITIST ". You should not be pointing fingers at others if you are not so good yourself. Its just a game and everyone should get equal opportunity to get the loot or whatever

i agree but only to an extent... people just pay for flawless runs now so trying to argue that people should put in effort to get there is pretty pointless. So long as it is possible to pay for flawless runs i can't see anyone really thinking that Trials is actually competitive. If someone can just pay for it when they don't have the skill do get there on their own then i don't see why it shouldn't be easier for everyone.

4 RespuestasIve read all these trials complainer threads and all of them are just selfish and show a complete lack of maturity. Its clear a player plays for a few hours, gets stomped then comes on here and "vents" about how trials is "unfair". Newsflash we go against the same streamers carrying players that you do. We just reset the card and try again. We don't come on here and bitch that we lost to a team of such good players that they can beat us basically 2v3. Tip your hat and move on. If it annoys you that much then play with them or PRACTICE at getting as good as them. The biggest issue I see is players complaining about how "cheap" it is the way the top players play. No its they use the best tools available to them. It'd be like you racing a Chevy Volt vs. a Lamborghini getting absolutely destroyed and calling the guy cheap. Its really just you being a moron for not using the best weapons to compete. Don't hate the player hate the game definitely applies to this scenario. So right now expect a lot of stormcallers running matadors with Ophidian Aspects or Double skip blades with a matador or a Jug shield Titan with a matador. Either learn how to BEAT it consistently or join it and stop worrying about your "status" of using those weapons lol. Save yourself time and just use the best to beat the best. Seems like common sense doesn't it?

1 RespuestaI think top pvp players are being matched vs players who are much too easy for them. There should be rankings. A 2.0 should never be matched with a sub 1.0.

7 RespuestasI just think the Lighthouse, especially how it is now a social space, should be accessible to all. Flawless gives the key to open the chest. To me that is a reasonable solution for the PvE crowd that just wants the grimoire.

I just hate trials because it's now rng for me. Finally have good Internet. Enough that my trials kd since is above a 1.1. I'm still not absolutely incredible and I still face teams I have no chance against. But the thing that's killing me is the rng damage. I go into a match. Shotgun someone in the face, they die. Those matches I'm usually getting above a 1.0 to 2.0 kd and destroying the other team. Then I'll get 3 matches in a row where my Melees wiff at someone right in front of me and my shotgun blast at point blank range only does half health damage. It's impossible for me to do anything. I have above a 120 download speed. Can anyone tell other than bungies servers are shit. Because if they are, ya they should make it easier for me to get there. If I can't get to the lighthouse because I'm not good enough, fine. But don't make it impossible because I'm playing in a game that won't let me have a chance.

Unless they can solo to the Lighthouse, they relied on others to help get them there. What this all really boils down to is finding the right help. If you're good at that, the Lighthouse is cake.

honestly the only thing that annoys me in trials is Light Level Advantages. If RNG were nicer it wouldn't be as harsh of as a problem but not dealing as much damage and taking more damage helps bring down skill involvement. But Hard Mode is out so I don't see this being much of a problem for me for much longer~

2 RespuestasI'm on the fence about this subject. On one hand it IS supposed to be a highly competitive playlist and on the other it is also endgame content with rewards and grim score attached to it. I think that 9 wins should get you a trip to the Lighthouse regardless of losses. I would just make the "Adept" and high light level rewards exclusive to flawless players, maybe even attach an exotic Trials themed class item. Some might argue that is what the 5th and 7th win drops are for, but it would not make that much of a difference. Also with this method, everyone gets their grim score and has the option of never having to touch Trials again. I don't know why so many players have an issue with the idea of other people going to the lighthouse. Wait, correction: people they think are worse than themselves going to the The Lighthouse. Someone else going to the lighthouse has no affect on you unless you lost to that team. I understand their is that pride and bragging rights attached to going to Mercury, but there's a problem of you are butthurt about other people going. I went there for the first time a couple weekends ago, and I'll admit, I was happy. It was a difficult journey. My teammates were great and it was nice to get there. But even with that said, if they balanced the matchmaking and more people went, I would not give a damn.

Every other fps determines elite in this fashion. Why does Destiny not have this? Several reasons but mainly that Destiny pvp sucks. Regardless, Destiny is the ONLY game that gates items and content using pvp. Everyone should get to the lighthouse and get the rewards given time. Just like iron banner..... If you guys want to compete then compete with teams and a bracket system. Why is Destiny special and requires Trials (which no one cares about) to enjoy all the game has to offer. All the devs need to do is make it 9 wins regardless of loss to get lighthouse. Less cheating. Happier community. More people playing. More fun. Attainable benchmarks that enhance the enjoyment of the game. LOL.... You see this is not about you. It is about the majority of player base. The fact people are paying money to get carried is evidence trials is a cancer to the game.

1 RespuestaMy only complaint is retarded light system because I went to the light at 360 (which was no easy task) and I went up 1 light. 2 pieces of gear were equal to my light and the lighthouse gear was like 1 higher. That's pathetic for all that work

I think they should just match you with teams of equal skill levels so it's a close tough fight not a 5-0 sweaty beating. Me and two friends had a good laugh playing the other day not taking it too seriously but I'd definately like to get to the lighthouse some time!
