  • Trust me, I'm not crying over it. Sunbreaker is honestly the better option anyways, but I'd like to get some attention from Bungie on the matter because SC is one of our most powerful perks across the board.

  • Sunbreaker is not the better option. Striker is by far the best in competitive.

  • Why? Sunbreakers get a burn melee ([i]Finally![/i]), and burn and fusion grenade as well as AoE, but it's more PvE oriented, their super has high armor, decent range, is roaming, and has slight area of effect. They retain the ability to Titan skate as well as a health refer perk. As a subclass, it is even more noob friendly, I'm not saying a Competitive Striker couldn't outperform a team of Sunbreakers, but put 2 equally skilled players together and Sunbreaker would come out on top, guaranteed.

  • The burn on the melee actually replaces the base damage, and is virtually useless in a melee fight. Fusion grenades are fun and all, but they provide no tactical advantage, like lightning grenades and flashbang grenades do. The super is surprisingly easy to shut down, even though the class revolves mostly around the super. It's fun for casual play, but should definitely not be considered for modes like iron banner and trials.

  • I'm not disagreeing with you about the fusion grenades (they really do suck, but I know a lot of people love them),but the DoT on the burn melee usually puts Guardians into false panic and often times I'm able to kill them as they run. The super is shut down easily, but if you know your maps well, you can often times counter any shutdown attempts well. And let's say I hear a stray Stormcaller around the corner and can't run. I could FoH him and take up one kill, or I could HoS him and try for more. It is for that reason that I use it in Iron Banner and Trials. Trials not so much due to FoH's aftershocks ability, but even that isn't always a enough to keep a self rez or oncoming enemy down. They are both viable but especially in larger game modes or free for all, I find that HoS is able to bring me more kills.

  • Man, whenever I get into a punch fight on sunbreaker, I just get mauled because of the 67 damage it does.

  • Lol, you must play much tougher people than I do, usually I hit them once with burn, they back off, and then w/ the bonus damage perk on, one more punch if I'm really lucky or 1-2 shots takes them out fast.
